Walt Disney World’s Early Morning Magic – Toy Story Land

Toy Story Land has been open at Disney’s Hollywood Studios since June 30, and it is definitely a hit! While lines haven’t been as long as those for Avatar – Flight of Passage, there can still be considerable waits for the three rides in Andy’s backyard. Disney has come up with a solution, Disney Early Morning Magic- Toy Story Land. It’s a chance to see and do all that Toy Story Land has to offer, without having to wait.

Disney invited me to be part of a media group for the event on September 17. Disney Early Morning Magic- Toy Story Land runs on select Mondays and Wednesdays now through December 19. The premise is simple. Toy Story Land opens at 7:30 for those who have a ticket for the event. Then you’ll be able to hit the new rides and meet the characters. The new land is open only for Early Morning Magic until 8:45, and you can do a lot in that time. Woody’s Lunch Box is closed, and the Green Army Patrol isn’t out, but you can do everything else.

When I was at Early Morning Magic, I was able to walk onto all three rides. Slinky Dog Dash and Alien Swirling Saucers both had posted Wait Times of five minutes. (I rode Slinky Dog Dash three times.) In watching the rides, there were open seats. Toy Story Mania! had a posted time of ten minutes, but it was still walk on.

The longest line was to meet Woody and Jessie, and that still was just a few people. If you want to be able to do it all in Toy Story Land you will easily be able to hit everything during Early Morning Magic.

Breakfast is also included in the price. This takes place at ABC Commissary. There is an all you can eat continental breakfast, plus you can have your pick of one hot entree. There are five to choose from, including Chicken and Donuts, and Avocado Toast and Egg. Breakfast is available until 10:00, so you can eat after you’ve enjoyed a nearly empty Toy Story Land.

Disney Early Morning Magic – Toy Story Land costs $79 for adults, and $69 for those ages three through nine. You must also have admission to Disney’s Hollywood Studios for the day. Reservations can be made on the Walt Disney World website under dining reservations, or by calling 407-827-7350.

I’d like to thank Walt Disney World for inviting me to Disney Early Morning Magic. If you want to get the most out of Toy Story Land, this is a great way to do it, especially if you don’t have FastPass+. You’ll be amazed by how much you can get done in an hour and fifteen minutes.

About PaulaK

I grew up in Western Massachusetts. When I was nine my family went to Disneyland and I was hooked. I grew up, attended New England College in Henniker, NH and eventually moved to Virginia. I worked as a disc jockey, married and became a full time mom when our daughter was born. Fast forward several years. In 2010 we moved to Central Florida and my Disney obsession grew. I now work as a freelance writer and spend my spare time in the parks. Under the name Paula Brown I penned the novels Dream Wanderers and The Coffee Cruiser. I also am a co-author of Dining at Walt Disney World: The Definitive Guide. I'm obsessed with Star Wars, so this is a good time to live in Central Florida. I've been a vegetarian for well over a decade, a choice that my daughter eventually made as well. While my husband still hasn't joined us fully he has given up most meats except for seafood. I was relieved to find that vegetarian dining is not difficult at Walt Disney World.
