If will be visiting Walt Disney World this December, there are a lot of great food items that you will want to check out. There are a variety of new items found across the different parks and resorts that you will definitely want to fit in before you start those New Year’s resolutions. Here is the December edition of the Disney Parks Best Bites for Walt Disney World from Disney Parks Blog:
Be sure to head over to Coral Reef Restaurant within the Seas area in Future World at Epcot. A new seafood dish has been added to the menu, whole-stuffed Maine lobster comes with crispy baby potatoes, asparagus, béarnaise, lemon, and butter. We definitely recommend that you make reservations for this location!
Disney’s Animal Kingdom has added some new items to Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery, and Harambe Market, plus a new lounge at Restaurantosaurus. Over at Kusafiri Bakery, there are new breakfast items, including a Cheese and Guava Danish and a Pistachio Honey Croissant. There is also the Sausage Egg and Cheese Biscuit or a Spinach and Feta Quiche.
At the Harambe Market there is a new Chicken Gyro served with African coleslaw as well as three new bowl options: the Ribs Bowl, the Chicken Bowl, and the Roasted Vegetable Bowl. All three bowls come with a cilantro rice and green salad base and a side of green salsa and pico de gallo.
The new lounge at Restaurantosaurus offers a selection of beers, wines, and specialty alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and snack on some light and yummy bites. Alcoholic cocktails include the Tequilasaurus (a tart margarita), the Ferminted Fossil (a minty mojito), the Primordial Booze (pomegranate and lemonade with vodka), and the Carnotaurus Meteoritis (a bourbon sour). Non-alcoholic mocktails include the Teal Rex with pineapple and lemon juices, lemonade, and blue raspberry syrup, the Paleontology Punch with lemonade, Sprite, and cranberry, apple, pomegranate, and lime juices, and Raptor Refresher with cranberry and orange juice and strawberry purée. Any of these drinks pair nicely with either a bowl of Sweet-and-Spicy Mixed Nuts or Buffalo Chicken Dip served with house-made chips.
Don’t forget to check out the resorts at Walt Disney World, too. The Beignet Burger has been added to the menu at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter at Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory. The burger is topped with American cheese, bacon jam, pickled onions, bbq bayou sauce, and house-made pickles and served on a beignet bun. If you head next door to Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside you will find a delicious all-you-care-to-enjoy Chef’s Platter at Boatwright’s Dining Hall. It is a full platter with ribs, Nashville hot chicken, barbecued beef brisket, smoked sausage, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, street corn, and green beans. You can order refills of any item on the platter as much as you like.
Over at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort the Tambu Lounge is offering a completely new menu. You will find new apps like the Conch Ceviche, a savory mix served in a coconut, or the Shrimp Cocktail with fresh shrimp marinated in Florida citrus juices. Other sharable plates include the Crispy Chicken Spring Roll served with pickled vegetables, the Beef Carpaccio Tataki with thinly-sliced beef in a spicy black pepper marinade topped with chili oil, or the Tambu Mixed Grill Kebab with chicken, steak, and shrimp served grilled with savory peanut sauce.
