Walt Disney World Best Bites for October 2019

Over at Disney’s Polynesian Vilage Resort at Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto there will be a new limited-edition Tiki mug available. The mug will also be available at Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar at The Disneyland Hotel. The Walt Disney World Resort mug will feature the empty hat box with the Hatbox Ghost’s head on his body. Here is important info from Disney Parks Blog for how to get your hands on one at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort:

• The Hatbox Ghost Tiki Mug will go on sale on October 15th at Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto for those guests with a valid wristband. Wristbands will be distributed at Trader Sam’s Tiki Terrace starting at 9 AM EST on October 15th (and starting at 10 AM on following days, while supplies last). Beverage purchase is required. The Grim Grinning Grog here will feature pineapple-mango dark rum, Bermuda black rum, blood orange, lime juice, a trio of tropical juices, and dashes of aromatic bitters (non-alcoholic version upon request). 
• Trader Sam’s Grotto will open at 1 PM EST on October 15th, and will open at 3 PM EST on the following days.  
• A Hatbox Ghost Ornament and Limited Edition Hatbox Ghost Pin will be sold at BouTiki at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort beginning at 9 AM EST, October 15th.

Rose & Crown Pub, located in the UK pavilion within Epcot’s World Showcase will offer a Traditional English Breakfast Platter. This platter will be available every Saturday from 9 to 11 AM throughout the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. It includes eggs, sausage, toast, baked beans, and mushrooms. There is also a new beverage at Bierline in Germany, the Frozen Mezzo Mix. It is a a popular German soft drink that included Coca-Cola and a little bit of Fanta Orange. There is also an alcoholic version which included a splash of honey and bourbon liqueur. 

Over at Disney’s BoardWalk, Flying Fish has added new dished to the menu that you won’t want to miss out on. There is a Filet Mignon with asparagus and honshimeji mushroom as well as Chilean Seabass with Spanish octopus and vegetable mélange and Sardinian Pasta featuring Maine lobster, scallops, shrimp, and garden herbs. And for dessert, there is the Cocoa Beach with vanilla custard, milk chocolate bavarois, and feuilletine crunch. 

Be sure to drop by Whispering Canyon Cafe at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge for other new menu items. For breakfast you can order fresh, warm cinnamon rolls topped with walnut-bourbon maple syrup, icing, and a sugar crisp.

Later in the day you can order a “Cowboy” Sundae with vanilla ice cream and macerated berries topped with a cobbler dough bubble waffle and a milk chocolate horse. There will also be the OLLLLLLLD Fashion Chocolate Cake decked out with chocolate ganache and a Mickey macaron.
