The saga continues…

Magic Kingdom Park, the crown jewel of Walt Disney World Resort, is a place where dreams come true and fairy tales come to life. It is a world full of enchantment, excitement, and endless possibilities. Amidst all of the magic and wonder happening today, there was an uninvited Guest who derailed some of the magic for the remainder of the visitors: a wild bear.

Wild Bear Causes Mass Chaos for the Disney Parks

Since being revealed this morning, the news of a bear roaming around the iconic Magic Kingdom Park spread like wildfire among Disney enthusiasts. It is incredibly rare to hear about something like this happening at Disney, and fans are understandably feeling extremely confused about the situation.

Magic Kingdom Park offers a range of captivating attractions for visitors of all ages. From Peter Pan’s Flight to thrilling rides like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Space Mountain, there is something for everyone. However, the addition of a real-life bear has forced Disney to close down approximately one-third of Magic Kingdom Park, which has led to a major jump in wait times for the remainder of the attractions.

Thrill Data Reports 180-Day Record

Thrill Data is a website that uses live information from Disney Parks to share data on wait times and crowd sizes. It can be a valuable tool for Guests looking to plan their vacation, but it also sheds an interesting light on emergency situations such as this one.

Earlier today, Thrill Data shared on the social media platform X that wait times in Magic Kingdom Park have skyrocketed. They report that today’s wait times are much higher than anything we have seen all last week. Today, it even breaks a 180-day record.

This data shows that Disney has a real problem on their hands. With the bear situation still continuing on into the afternoon, fans are growing more and more impatient by the second.

Rides Surpass 100 Minute Wait Mark

The easiest way to see updated wait times is through the Walt Disney World app. Here, you can easily see the impact that this rouge black bear has caused on the remaining Park areas. Peter Pan’s Flight is currently a 110-minute wait, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is a 120-minute wait, and  Space Mountain is a 105-minute wait.

Other notable long waits include Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin at 85 minutes, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh at 65 minutes, and Enchanted Tales with Belle at 60 minutes. Hardly any attraction is posted at less than a 45-minute wait time.

For fans traveling long distances to experience this Park, having wait times like this can be a huge bummer. Hopefully, Disney and the Florida Fsh & Wildlife Conservation Commission will be able to amend the situation and remove the black bear from the Park safely.
