New Map for EPCOT

Even though many guests have had the opportunity to experience this new walk-through attraction in EPCOT before opening, Walt Disney World has just now put out a map of the attraction.

The new map details the dry and wet trails guests can take throughout the attraction. Guests can also see where the different water features can be found along the path. Also found on the map is the iconic and highly anticipated Te Fiti statue. Finally, at the trail’s end, guests can see the heart of Te Fiti.

The map provides excellent detail and a beautiful look at Journey of Water- Inspired by Moana.

Journey of Water- Inspired by Moana

The newest attraction to arrive in EPCOT among the huge reimagination of this Disney Park will officially open to Disney guests on October 16, 2023. Journey of Water- Inspired by Moana, is located in the World of Nature neighborhood in EPCOT.

Although we have seen both Annual Passholder previews and a soft opening, the attraction will officially be opened to all starting tomorrow.

This walk-through attraction focuses on the wonders of water as guests explore. Guests who take time to stroll along on this self-guided tour will learn three essential details about water. Those key details are: water is a friend, water connects us all, and water needs protection.

Enjoy magical encounters and discover how playful they can be as you interact with special features along the trail. Connect with water in an all-new way. Learn about the global water cycle, which takes water on an adventure all over the globe. Finally, learn what we can do to protect water. Water is a precious natural resource, and we need to protect it so it can continue to impact the world.

Choose to get wet or stay dry as you explore the path that takes you on an epic adventure, just as Moana did as she set sail to find Te Fiti and save her village.

Virtual Queue or Not

If you plan to visit Journey of Water- Inspired by Moana, during your Walt Disney World vacation, you might need to join a virtual queue. Disney previously stated that a virtual queue would be in place when needed.

Guests must be in EPCOT to join and will be notified via the My Disney Experience or by signs at the attraction’s entrance when a virtual queue is in place.

This is a fantastic addition to EPCOT, and we are thrilled to have it officially open.

About Jennifer Retzlaff

My name is Jennifer Retzlaff and I became a lifelong Disney fan during my first trip to Walt Disney World in 6th grade. From that moment, Disney became a big part of my life. I live in Iowa with my husband and two kids who are growing up too quickly for my liking. I started introducing my love for Disney early to my family with a Disney honeymoon and then trips when our youngest of 18 months. Since then, our family has been to Walt Disney World over five times and we continue to plan and dream for the next trip. I love the magic that Disney brings to people through the theme parks, cruises, adventures and movies they create. As a teacher, I try to bring that magic into my classroom to help kids believe that ā€œIf You Can Dream It, You Can Do It.ā€ I recently reached a dream of mine as I joined Magic Vacation Planner as a personal travel advisor. With this team, I can now help others plan magical vacations. As a passionate writer, I also have my own blog at magicalvacationsbyjen which is also where you can follow me on instagram for trip reviews along with tips and tricks for your next magical vacation.
