Upcoming ‘Jurassic World’ Installment Gets First Official Trailer

Excitement is building among Jurassic fans as Universal Pictures gears up for a massive 2025 release (July 2) for Jurassic World Rebirth. The upcoming sequel promises to deliver thrills, action, and some of the wildest dinosaurs ever seen in the franchise.

But the film isn’t the only Jurassic entry being unleashed in the near future. Similarly to 2015’s franchise-reviving blockbuster Jurassic World, which dominated theaters worldwide and brought with it a ton of tie-in media, the iconic franchise is set to undergo another heyday (its third when you include the success that followed the original 1993 film).

While there’s no official release date, the upcoming first-person action-adventure video game “Jurassic Park: Survival” promises to offer a thrilling, suspense-driven experience while reuniting fans with the fan-favorite Park era.

Meanwhile, the World side of the franchise continues to expand. .Jurassic World: Chaos Theory Season 3 will debut on Netflix this April and “Jurassic World Evolution 3” is set for release sometime over the next year.

But the dino-filled fun doesn’t stop there. There’s a new collaboration in the works that brings the Jurassic World universe to the metaverse.

In partnership with “The Sandbox,” a cutting-edge social gaming platform, Universal and Amblin Entertainment are introducing “The Sandbox x Jurassic World.”

Watch the official trailer below:

With a playful twist, this metaverse experience brings blocky dinosaurs into the fold, a far cry from the hyper-realistic creations we’re used to.

While these dino avatars won’t win any beauty contests, the game is a fun, interactive experience that includes playable characters and exclusive digital collectibles.

This new wave of Jurassic content promises something for everyone, whether you’re in it for the movies, shows, or video games.

“The Sandbox x Jurassic World,” officially titled “Jurassic World: Dinosaur Preserve,” is expected to launch alongside The Sandbox’s Alpha Season 5 in March 2025.
