An Unfortunate Issue

On May 7, 2025, Mine Cart Madness experienced a full-day shutdown, allegedly due to an accident. TikTok user @walruscard shared a post claiming, “So many carts missing wheels on Nintendo’s latest ride.” This unexpected issue has led many to speculate whether the ride will be ready in time for the official opening on May 22.

The ride, designed around the iconic Donkey Kong franchise, uses Universal’s “Boom Coaster” technology, allowing guests to feel as if they’re soaring through the air on a high-speed track. However, this technical mishap has raised further questions about the attraction’s reliability. This is not the first time Mine Cart Madness has experienced delays, with other unscheduled closures reported during the preview period, leaving visitors concerned about its long-term functionality.
