Universal’s ‘Jurassic Park’ Hotel Explained, Part of Upcoming Immersive Experience

While Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park (1993) brought Michael Crichton’s best-selling novel to life, many parts of Isla Nublar never appeared on screen.

From the Pteratops aviary to the Safari Lodge—where guests in the book spend time before the dinosaur breakout—the original book features several locations that have remained uncharted until now.

A New Jurassic Park Experience Is in the Works

That’s set to change with the upcoming first-person action-adventure video game Jurassic Park: Survival, developed by Saber Interactive.

Set 24 hours after the events of Spielberg’s blockbuster classic, the game casts players as InGen scientist Dr. Maya Joshi, who must survive the island while facing terrifying dinosaurs both familiar and new.

Survival was first revealed at the 2023 Game Awards with a cinematic trailer that promises a detailed, immersive return to the Jurassic Park universe. Watch it below:

It Features a Never-Before-Seen Hotel Resort

With “a fully realized Isla Nublar” on offer, the game revisits classic locations like the Visitor Center, the T-Rex paddock, and jungle expanses, while also introducing new, never-before-seen areas.

One of the most intriguing is a hotel complex in mid-construction, teased in a Q&A shared with IGN in 2024, and most recently concept art revealed during a 2025 behind-the-scenes featurette:

“There’s lots of facilities, there’s lots of buildings, there’s lots of attractions that are under construction, there’s a hotel under construction,” Universal Products & Experiences executive producer John Melchior explains in the video.

The image of the hotel shows a sprawling resort with a central hotel, lodges, a lake, and a train line reminiscent of the park’s main gates.

The hotel is expected to serve as one of several save points, giving gamers a chance to pause amidst the chaos. Although it will likely be equally accessible to raptors.

Players will also encounter dinosaurs including Dilophosaurus, Gallimimus, Brachiosaurus, Triceratops, and T. rex.

Jurassic Park: Survival will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. No official release date has been announced.
