Universal Orlando Resort has an attraction that promises an electrifying experience unlike any other, but recently, it suffered a bit of a malfunction.
Universal Orlando is home to two theme parks, Universal Studios Florida and Universal Islands of Adventure. Each theme park is home to different attractions, lands, and much more for guests to experience. One of the most sought-after attractions at Universal Studios Florida is the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit. Universal Orlando is also in the process of building a third park called Epic Universe.
Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit brings thrill-seekers from all over and guests wait with anticipation to ride this thrilling attraction. Occasional disruptions affect guests, from evacuations to long waits, delays, and much more.
Normally, this attraction lets guests feel the thrill of the coaster by hurtling through the attraction, and passengers are immersed in the beats of their chosen soundtrack when suddenly, there is a sudden halt. A mechanical glitch, perhaps, or an unforeseen technical hiccup prompts the announcement: “Attention all guests, please proceed to the nearest exit for an evacuation procedure.”
Caught between the rush of excitement and the abrupt interruption, guests found themselves left wondering when the attractions would start back up and, if not, how they would be removed from the attraction.
As a result of guests being evacuated, team members will usher guests to designated safety zones. One Universal Orlando guest tweeted on X (formally known as Twitter) a video of guests walking down the stairs of Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit. This guest says this is one of his biggest fears, as for many fans, the thought of the attraction breaking down with guests is scary.

It’s important to note that Universal Team Members are expertly-trained to handle situations like these and at no point were any guests in danger.
Universal Orlando works hard to keep happy, and high guest satisfaction. When delays or evacuations happen, guests may receive anything from express passes to a bottle of water.
While the forced evacuation may disrupt the day for some Universal Orlando guests. Some guests find the thrill or excitement of seeing Universal backstage or attractions with the lights on as a special treat.
Rumors talk about how Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit may soon be closing. This closure may happen due to the attraction needing a major update and to be redone. However, this hasn’t been confirmed yet.
