Universal Orlando theme parks are home to classic attractions. Some of which Guests have been enjoying for decades, and some that have become instant classics.
However, according to this shocking video, one Jurassic Park attraction has been facing some neglect.
In recent years, Universal Studios and Universal Islands of Adventure have become real competition for Walt Disney World Resort theme parks such as Magic Kingdom.
When the Universal Park Islands of Adventure first built the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Guests began flocking to the Park.
However, one of the biggest attractions has been in operation long before the Wizarding World of Harry Potter was even built: the Jurassic Park River Adventure.
Jurassic Park River Adventure recently faced some challenges beginning in September 2022 when Hurricane Ian swept through Central Florida. The hurricane caused damage throughout the state, and Universal’s Islands of Adventure was not immune.

The storm damaged the side of one of the attraction’s buildings. Months later, the ride was closed for refurbishment in January and was set to reopen on February 4.
When it missed that reopening date, it was rescheduled to reopen on the 12…which was also missed. Finally, the attraction reopened on February 20 after missing two reopening dates.
However, only six days later, one Guest posted a video of the Jurassic Park River Adventure looking…polluted.

Note the greenish-blue hues of a more natural-looking river in the YouTube video versus the deep brownish black in the TikTok.
Many of the comments point out that it may be hydraulic fluid, which is a glaring sign that the T. Rex at the attraction’s climax is in dire need of refurbishment.
Is Jurassic Park River Adventure about to go down for refurbishment again? Did Universal Orlando Resort rush through refurbishments and open prematurely? Unfortunately, we will have to wait and see.
