Tree of Life’s Replacement Attraction To Get Virtual Queue Access

A new chapter is about to unfold inside Disney’s Animal Kingdom as Zootopia: Better Zoogether! takes over the Tree of Life Theater beginning November 7, 2025. This lively new 4D experience invites guests to step into the world of 2016’s Zootopia—just in time for the release of Zootopia 2 (2025).

Replacing It’s Tough to Be a Bug, the show transforms the Tree of Life into the heart of Zoogether Day, a festival uniting animals from every corner of Zootopia. Hosted by the high-spirited Heidi Howler, the adventure unfolds in front of guests wearing “Carrot Vision” glasses, allowing scenes to burst into life through immersive sights, sounds, scents, and sensations.

One of the show’s standout stars is none other than Benjamin Clawhauser, the ZPD’s lovable cheetah, who makes his Disney Experiences debut as a detailed Audio-Animatronics figure. Sporting a glittering Gazelle shirt and glow necklaces, Clawhauser dreams of becoming the V.I.Z. (Very Important Zootopian) with front-row access to Zoogether Day’s performances. His plans may not unfold as expected, but his journey captures the heart and humor that define Zootopia.

Ahead of its grand opening, Disney will host several preview events:

  • Cast member Previews: October 31–November 3, 2025 (registration opens October 14 at 7:00 a.m. ET; closes four days before each date)
  • Disney Vacation Club (DVC) Member Previews: November 1–3, 2025 (registration opens October 23; eligible members must have a qualifying resort reservation made before October 19)
  • Annual Passholder Previews: November 5–6, 2025 (7:00 a.m. virtual queue for guests with a park reservation; 1:00 p.m. queue open to all Passholders without prior park entry)

To help manage high interest, Disney will reintroduce the virtual queue system at Walt Disney World for this attraction. The system, last seen during Test Track’s previews, offers guests a way to enjoy the experience without long standby waits. Both Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind recently moved to traditional queues, making Zootopia: Better Zoogether! the latest to utilize the digital feature.

As Animal Kingdom prepares for its next evolution, this attraction marks the beginning of a broader transformation. The Tropical Americas area—slated to replace DinoLand U.S.A. in 2027—will feature attractions themed to Indiana Jones and Encanto, further expanding the park’s storytelling landscape.

Through Zootopia: Better Zoogether!, guests will find themselves celebrating unity, laughter, and the shared rhythm of life that defines Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Between its vivid 4D storytelling, innovative technology, and return of the virtual queue, this new addition continues the park’s tradition of blending adventure with imagination.
