Toy Story Land Seeps Into Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Walt Disney World Resort is moving full steam ahead with construction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and the latest development sees Toy Story Land seeping into the entrance of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Recent reports reveal that the iconic Pixar-themed land is now extending into the border of the Star Wars area, as construction walls have appeared at the entrance to the Black Spire Outpost.
In July 2025, bright, colorful panels appeared around a walkway near Toy Story Land’s bathrooms, directly adjacent to Galaxy’s Edge. Walt Disney World Resort didn’t publicly acknowledge the purpose of the construction, but permits suggest that the park may be planning a new snack stand in this area.
When it opened in 2018, Toy Story Land offered just one dining option: Woody’s Lunch Box. With minimal seating and little shade, this Quick Service dining spot was an uncomfortable place to eat, especially in the sweltering Central Florida heat.
However, improvements have been made in recent years to make the area more appealing to theme park guests. Last year, Disney added more shade to the area, making it a more pleasant spot to dine. In 2023, Disney’s Hollywood Studios opened Roundup Rodeo BBQ, a Table Service dining location inside the land.
Now, it seems that the expansion of Toy Story Land is spilling over into Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, with the construction walls extending from the Pixar area into the edge of the Star Wars land. The rainbow barricades turn plain brown after crossing the threshold into Batuu.
According to Laughing Place, workers have even removed the Toy Story Land marquee that was previously located at the entrance from Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Walt Disney World Resort has not yet confirmed whether this is a permanent change or simply a temporary adjustment to accommodate the construction.
Walt Disney World Resort has not given a specific timeline or details about the exact changes coming to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. No permits have been filed for further expansion, which suggests that the new Toy Story Land snack stand is the primary focus of this construction.
