Disney’s Animal Kingdom is full of wild adventures, from exploring the wildlife of Pandora to trekking the jungle. As you adventure through the Park, you can travel across Asia, Africa, DinoLand U.S.A., Avatar’s World of Pandora, and Discovery Island.
During your travels, the Park has excellent dining options to keep you energized as you explore. From steamed cheeseburger bao buns to barbecue mac and cheese, Disney’s Animal Kingdom has something for everyone to enjoy.
Quick Service vs. Table Service
Across the Walt Disney World Resort, you’ll see and hear different insider dining lingo, and here at DisneyDining.com, it’s our job to keep you in the know. Disney offers two styles of dining: quick service and table service. Quick service restaurants allow you to order your food and pick it up at a counter, while table service restaurants offer a seated dining experience.
Table service restaurants require advance dining reservations that can be made online or through the My Disney Experience app, while quick service restaurants do not. While many quick service locations offer food to-go, almost all locations also provide seating.

Top Three Quick Service Restaurants
We know that everyone has their favorites when it comes to Disney restaurants, but today, we’re reviewing a top-three ranking from Instagram user @joshvaughan_. In his video, he ranks his top three picks for quick service dining in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

3. Yak and Yeti Local Foods Cafe
Starting with number three, his choice is Yak and Yeti Local Foods Cafe. You can visit this quick service dining location while traveling through Asia, specifically the village of Anandapur. This restaurant is located between the Yak and Yeti Restaurant, Drinkwallah, and Royal Anandapur Tea Company.
Yak and Yeti Local Foods Cafe serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Breakfast favorites feature the Breakfast Bowl with Bacon, Sausage, or Vegetables. In the afternoon, stop by for Honey Sesame Chicken, Vegetable Tikka Masala, or my favorite, Pork Egg Rolls with Chicken Fried Rice.
2. Satu’li Canteen
Ranking at number two is Satu’li Canteen, found in Pandora, The World of Avatar. This former RDA mess hall has been transformed to feature the art and cuisine of the Na’vi. This dining location even features Disney’s Mobile Order feature if you want to skip lines in the Park.
Fan favorites at Satu’li Canteen include the Cheeseburger Steamed Pods – Bao Buns and Combination Bowl with Smoked Chimichurri-braised Beef and Wood-grilled Chicken. There’s something great for every appetite at this Animal Kingdom restaurant.
1. Flame Tree Barbecue
Rightfully (in my opinion) earning the title of “best quick service” at Disney’s Animal Kingdom is Flame Tree Barbecue. You will find this delightful and bright quick service location in Discovery Island.
Enjoy the delicious Baked Macaroni and Cheese with Pulled Pork, Smoked Pulled Pork Sandwich, or St. Louis Rib Dinner. If you’re looking for a great plant-based option, try the Hot Link Smokehouse Sandwich. This dining location also offers Disney’s Mobile Order feature through the My Disney Experience app.
