Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith

When people think about Walt Disney World the first thought that comes to mind is not typically thrill rides.  This does not mean that there are not some white knuckle rides waiting on you at many of the parks.  Today I will share 10 mind blowing facts about one of those rides… Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

10. Inversions

There are 3 inversions on Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster. An inversion is when the roller coaster turns the riders upside down and then returns them to their normal upright state.  You will experience two roll-over loops and one cork screw!  Challenge yourself to keep your hands up through all 3!

9. The Speakers

There are 120 speakers per stretch limo. Every rider will individually have two tweeters, two mid-range speakers, and one subwoofer mounted under their seat.  In total there are 32,000 powerful watts in each stretch limo!  You will feel like Steven Tyler is playing a concert in your seat!

8. The Track

The track that you are riding is more than a half mile long. The entire ride is only 1:22 long!  That is some serious SPEED!

7. Speed

As mentioned above, you are going pretty fast. You will go from 0-60mph in 2.8 seconds.  Talk about a huge adrenaline rush!  Make sure you listen to the warning and sit all the way back at launch.

6. Hidden Gems

In true Walt Disney fashion there are several hidden gems in Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster. Pay very close attention to the license plates on the stretch limos.  Some examples of what you might see are 2FAST4U, BUHBYE, and H8TRFFC.  Each stretch limo also plays different Aerosmith tracks.  If you are on one that plays “Love in an elevator” pay close attention as the ride is ending, the lyrics change to “love in a roller coaster”.

5. The Recording Studio

You will see a short display of Aerosmith in a recording studio before getting on the ride. The recording studio’s name is G-Force Records.  This is a very appropriate name because when you take off you will experience 4-5 G’s!

4. Fast

With speeds reaching 60mph this is the fastest ride in Hollywood Studios and the second fastest in all of Disney World. In my opinion it feels like you are going so much faster!  The only ride faster is Test Track in Epcot.

It is a Fender Stratocaster for all of our music nerds out there.  There is never a time that fellow Disney enthusiasts are not out in front of this massive guitar taking advantage of this photo op!  Go out and make your best rock star pose and snap a picture of a great memory!

2. Save Time

In a hurry? Who doesn’t want to save time at Disney World?  At Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster you can take advantage of the single rider line.  If you are by yourself or you are willing to split your party up, this is a great way to feel all the thrills and save time like a rock star!

About Brandon Blanchard

Brandon Blanchard has been married for 14 years and has 5 children. All 7 Blanchards are infatuated with Disney World! Their Disney Infatuation started after his wife, Esme, convinced him to take their then four children (7 and under) to Disney in December of 2010. She had grown up going to Disney and wanted her own children to experience the magic! He told her that they could go once, but he didn't know why on earth he needed to use a whole week of his vacation time. There were only 4 parks! After walking down Main Street for the first time, Brandon looked at his wife and he started the next sentence with the most magical four words: “When we come back…” Disney World has become their happy place and can make everything right! After a series of corporate relocations, Brandon jumped on one that would move his family to Central Florida permanently in 2015. Professionally, Brandon is a manager for a Technical Support Company. Esme homeschools their 5 children who think it is SO COOL that they have the freedom and flexibility to visit theme parks weekly!
