VIDEO: Child Runs Into Disney World Parade Route To Chase Favorite Character
A viral video captured a heart-stopping moment at Magic Kingdom Park, showing a young girl sprinting toward an active parade route in an attempt to get closer to her favorite Disney character, prompting a quick save from a nearby Walt Disney World Resort cast member.
A Mother’s Video Goes Viral

TikTok user @koryleepuckett posted the footage earlier this year, showing her daughter’s brief but dangerous dash toward a passing float at Walt Disney World Resort. The moment happened right after the girl waved at Moana during the Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade, the morning procession that runs down Main Street, U.S.A., at Magic Kingdom Park.
@koryleepuckett She made a run for it. She would do anything for her Moana! #disneyworld #birthdaygirl #disney
“She made a run for it,” the mother wrote in her post. “She would do anything for her Moana!”
Breaking Down the Incident

The video shows the girl standing behind a yellow line taped onto the pavement, waving enthusiastically at Moana as her mother filmed from a short distance away. The moment Moana waved back, the child took off running directly into the parade route, heading straight toward the oncoming float.
A Disney cast member stationed just inches away reacted immediately, stepping in to stop the girl before she could be hit by the moving vehicle. Her mother rushed over shortly after, walking her daughter safely back behind the line.
The Internet Reacts

The video generated significant backlash online, with many viewers criticizing the mother for focusing on recording rather than keeping a closer watch on her child. As the criticism piled up, the creator ultimately disabled comments on the post, cutting off further public discussion.
Fortunately, the child was unharmed, and the Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade carried on as scheduled. There’s no indication that Walt Disney World Resort took any action against the family following the close call.
