Walt Disney World is a culinary paradise, boasting a diverse array of dining options that range from fine dining experiences to fun, themed snacks. Whether youโ€™re indulging in a gourmet meal at a resort, grabbing a Mickey-shaped treat, or savoring a unique dish at Disney Springs, thereโ€™s something for everyone.

If youโ€™re heading to Walt Disney World for the first time, youโ€™ll need to get acquainted with some Disney dining lingo. Dining options are categorized into two main types: table service and quick service.

Table service dining offers a more immersive experience with themed environments and full service from Cast Members. Most of these meals require advance reservations, which can be made online or through the My Disney Experience app. This category includes everything from character dining to upscale fine dining.

Quick service dining, on the other hand, features themed locations where you order at a counter and then find a seat to enjoy your meal. While not all quick service spots have seating, many do offer comfortable indoor or outdoor areas.

3. Woodyโ€™s Lunch Box

Our number three pick is Woodyโ€™s Lunch Box, a charming quick service spot located in Toy Story Land, right across from Slinky Dog Dash and Alien Swirling Saucers. This restaurant captures the whimsical spirit of Andyโ€™s toys, offering a playful dining atmosphere. Woodyโ€™s Lunch Box serves up breakfast, lunch, and dinner with crowd-pleasers like Lunch Box Tarts, Totchos, the Grilled Three-Cheese Sandwich, and Tomato-Basil Soup.

While Woodyโ€™s Lunch Box is a fantastic choice, it can get quite crowded during peak meal times. To avoid the hustle and bustle, consider using Disneyโ€™s Mobile Order feature and enjoy your meal at one of the outdoor tables in Toy Story Land or nearby areas.

ABC Commissary

In second place is ABC Commissary, situated on Commissary Lane in Disneyโ€™s Hollywood Studios. This classic American eatery offers a menu featuring burgers, fries, and salads. The real draw here is the ample indoor, air-conditioned seating, which makes it a perfect spot to cool off on a hot Florida day.

With its straightforward menu and comfortable setting, ABC Commissary is a great choice for a quick and satisfying meal, especially when you need a break from the Florida heat.

About Megan Losey

As a Disney foodie, I love writing about Disney food and snacks. Some of my favorites are the Carrot Cake Cookie from Trolley Car Cafe, the Mickey Beignets from Port Orleans French Quarter, and the Apple Blossom from Port Orleans Riverside. When I'm visiting the parks, you can find me on Main Street taking in the good vibe of Magic Kingdom or relaxing with a drink at the Polynesian watching the fireworks from the beach. As a previous Cast Member, I will always have a special place in my heart for the Magic Kingdom, especially Main Street U.S.A.
