This Special Disney Valentine’s Day Experience Is Only for Elite Members
Disney Vacation Club is hosting a Valentine’s Day celebration exclusively for members at Disney’s Contemporary Resort in early February. The special event features character interactions and themed treats available only to eligible DVC members.
Disney Event Details
The drop-in Valentine’s Day event takes place on February 2, 3, 9, and 10, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.. Members can attend one of the four available dates at the Fantasia Ballroom West Salons and Pastorals on the main level of Contemporary’s Convention Center.
Signs will direct guests toward the West Rotunda once inside the Convention Center to help locate the event space. The mid-day timing allows members to easily fit the experience into their park day or resort schedule.
Attendance Requirements
To participate, members must be eligible for Membership Extras and have a qualifying reservation at a Disney-owned-and-operated Walt Disney World Resort hotel on their selected event date.
Each membership may only attend one date, and capacity is limited. If the room reaches capacity, members may need to wait in line and enter as others exit. The line may close before 1:00 p.m., depending on demand.
Members can bring up to four guests per membership card or the number of guests on their resort reservation, whichever applies. At check-in, members must present their Disney Vacation Club Digital Membership Card and photo ID. The member listed on the card must be present.
Transportation Considerations
Disney strongly encourages using Walt Disney World transportation to reach the Contemporary Resort, as parking will not be available specifically for this event. Members staying on property can use buses, boats, or the Monorail to access Contemporary.
Arriving earlier in the event window increases the chance of entering without extended waits, as capacity limitations may create lines during peak attendance.
What This Disney Event Represents
The Valentine’s Day celebration represents one of the exclusive perks available to Disney Vacation Club members as part of Membership Extras. These events add value to DVC ownership beyond the accommodations booking system.
Unlike Valentine’s Day merchandise and treats available to all guests visiting the parks, or separately ticketed events that anyone can purchase, this DVC event is restricted entirely to members. Regular Walt Disney World guests cannot attend, regardless of their willingness to pay additional fees.

This creates a tier of experiences accessible only through timeshare ownership rather than standard park admission or resort stays. The exclusivity functions as a membership benefit rather than a revenue-generating offering available to broader guest populations.
DVC Membership Context
Disney Vacation Club is Disney’s timeshare program, where members purchase points to book accommodations at DVC properties. The initial investment typically ranges from tens of thousands to over $100,000, depending on the number of points purchased and the resort selection, plus annual dues.
Membership Extras like this Valentine’s Day event provide additional benefits beyond accommodations access. These perks are designed to enhance the value proposition of DVC ownership for members who have made substantial financial commitments to the program.
Event Value for Disney Vacation Club Members
For eligible DVC members, the Valentine’s Day event offers a casual character experience with themed treats that require no advance planning or a significant time commitment. The drop-in format allows members to attend when it’s convenient during their resort stay.
The character presence and Valentine’s theming create photo opportunities and seasonal experiences that complement regular park activities without requiring adjustments to touring schedules.
Planning Attendance
DVC members staying at qualifying resorts during early February should determine which event date works best with their vacation schedule. Remember that each membership can only attend one date, even if staying multiple nights during the event period.
Have your Digital Membership Card and photo ID ready for check-in. Plan transportation using Disney buses, boats, or the Monorail rather than driving to avoid parking difficulties.
Consider arriving earlier in the 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. window to minimize potential wait times if the event reaches capacity during peak periods.
The Valentine’s Day event offers DVC members a seasonal exclusive experience available only through membership rather than standard park admission or resort bookings.
