The Lion King: Rhythms of the Pride Lands closed on May 4 for what Disneyland Paris Resort is calling a “scheduled break.” The show is currently off the Disneyland Park lineup through June 12, with a return scheduled for June 13, 2026. As of May 5, the Frontierland Theater is shut, and the area around it is quiet.

X (formerly Twitter) user @PixiedustDLP confirmed the closure on Tuesday, sharing photos from outside the theater and writing:

The Frontierland Theater is currently closed, The Lion King Rhythms of the Pride Lands will return on June 13, 2026. 🦁 #DisneylandParis

Disneyland Paris Resort has not shared any details about what work is being done during the downtime. No changes to the show or its home are expected. The closure is most likely a straightforward maintenance period rather than anything that will look different when the Frontierland Theater reopens.

The Lion King: Rhythms of the Pride Lands has been part of Disneyland Park since 2019. The 30-minute production celebrates the music and story of the 1994 Walt Disney Animation Studios classic through dancers, acrobats, and singers in stunning costumes, drawing from both the animated film and its stage adaptations. The show features live performances of “Circle of Life,” “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King,” “Be Prepared,” “Hakuna Matata,” and “Can You Feel the Love Tonight.”

Other Ways To Visit the Pride Lands

Fans who don’t want to wait until June have a few alternatives. Festival of the Lion King runs year-round at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park at Walt Disney World Resort and at Hong Kong Disneyland. Disney on Broadway’s long-running production of “The Lion King” continues in New York City and on tour globally.
