‘The Last Ronin’s Lead Ninja Turtle Takes Center Stage in New Trailer
Michelangelo has been taking center stage in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles media for a few years now, but that spotlight is no longer limited to The Last Ronin comic storyline.
Based on the popular comic book, the upcoming live-action adaptation from Paramount Pictures, written by Tyler Burton Smith and produced through Walter Hamada’s 18hz production company, will follow Michelangelo on a solo mission to avenge his brothers and Master Splinter. There’s even a video game adaptation of the comic in the works.
Developed by Black Forest Games and set to be published under THQ Nordic, players will step into Michelangelo’s shoes in that medium, too.
But now, there’s another TMNT game where Mikey is also getting all the attention.
The mobile role-playing game “RAID: Shadow Legends” has crossed over with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise, unveiling a new cinematic trailer with epic visuals fans can expect from The Last Ronin movie. Futuristic landscapes, urban destruction, and solo combat sequences highlight Michelangelo’s journey as a lone hero. Watch the trailer below:

Between IDW’s ongoing comic books and all the new TMNT video games we’ve gotten in recent years, from “Shredder’s Revenge” to the “Call of Duty” crossover, it’s fair to say that “Turtle-Mania,” the massive pop culture craze that swept the late ’80s and early ’90s with toys, cartoons, comics, and movies, is showing signs of a major modern resurgence.
And there’s clearly room for all kinds of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
The Last Ronin movie and its accompanying video game promise a darker, emotionally rich take on the Turtles, while Mutant Mayhem 2, set for release in 2027, will continue the family-friendly side of the franchise. With new content across multiple platforms, both longtime fans and new audiences are about to rediscover the thrill of Turtle-Mania.
