The 7 Disney Springs Hotels: “Offsite” Benefits at Walt Disney World

Credit: Disney

Heading to Disney World soon? You may be wondering whether you should choose a Disney-owned hotel or go with one of the many offsite options. Either of these is fine, and both definitely have pros and cons. But what if we told you there is an awesome in-between option that gives you a wonderful combination of the benefits of each category of hotel? The seven Disney Springs hotels are exactly that. You see, while these hotels aren’t owned by Disney and are technically considered an “offsite” option, they are still located on Disney property, and many are within walking distance of all the fun offered by Disney Springs. Not only that, they also offer many of the exact same benefits you would enjoy at a Disney-run hotel. Because guests of these hotels receive so many of the same benefits offered by the Disney Resort Hotels themselves, many consider the Disney Springs resorts to be a much better value than the onsite options. We can’t say we disagree. Wondering what you’ll get by staying in one of these 7 fabulous properties? Let us show you.

1. Complimentary Shuttle Transportation

One of the very best things about staying at a Disney hotel is the fact that you don’t have to drive at all during your vacation. Those who stay in one of the Disney Springs hotels can experience this same relaxing magic by using the complimentary shuttle service to and from the parks, which runs every 30 minutes throughout the day.

2. Extra Magic Hours

Through the end of 2020, guests of Disney Springs hotels will be able to take advantage of the Extra Magic Hours that are normally only available to guests of Disney-owned hotels. This amazing offer allows visitors to spend even more time in the parks by giving them an opportunity to arrive earlier or stay later than other guests in certain parks on certain days. This is a huge perk that should definitely be put to good use.

3. 60-Day FastPass Reservations

Another fabulous benefit that is available to Disney Springs hotels guests through the end of 2020 is the ability to make FastPass reservations a full 60 days out. This is another perk that is usually only available to onsite Disney guests. Considering that most offsite guests have to wait until 30 days out to book FastPasses, this is a major advantage if you hope to get passes to the more popular attractions.

4. In-Hotel Ticket Purchases

While most people purchase their park tickets in advance of their trip, there are those who prefer to wait until the last minute. These individuals will be pleased to learn that all Disney Springs hotels sell Disney Park tickets, making it easy to grab what you need when you arrive and skip the long line at the park ticket booth.

5. Preferred Tee Times and Golf Discounts

Do you golf? If so, you’ll adore the golf-related perks offered to guests of the Disney Springs hotels. Not only do these guests have access to preferred and exclusive tee times at Disney’s golf courses, they also receive discounts on several aspects of their golfing experience. This makes golfing on these incredibly well-maintained courses even more fun than usual.

6. Kids Eat Free

A few of the Disney Springs hotels offer an amazing perk that families will definitely appreciate. The Best Western, Holiday Inn, and Wyndham all offer “kids eat free” deals. This is extremely helpful to moms and dads who might be feeling a bit of sticker shock, and ensures everyone arrives at the parks well-fed and ready to go. While the Best Western and Wyndham offer this deal during breakfast hours only, the Holiday Inn offers the promo during all meal times. All three hotels do require the purchase of an adult entrée in order to receive the free kids meal.

7. Character Breakfast

Finally, we must mention the fact that a few of the Disney Springs hotels even offer character dining. That’s right, you can dine with some of your favorite Disney friends in the comfort of your own hotel, even if you aren’t staying onsite. The Hilton Buena Vista Palace and Hilton Lake Buena Vista locations offer this perk on Sunday mornings. Meanwhile, Wyndham offers a character dining experience on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday mornings, and even includes this special breakfast in their “kids eat free” deal.

As you can see, there are many benefits to staying in one of the Disney Springs hotels. Why not give one of them a try on your next trip? You might just be glad you did!
