Spooky Treats and Eats at the Disneyland Resort!

As we head through the end of September, toward October, we get closer and closer to the Halloween holiday. However, Spooky Season at the Disney Parks has been well underway since the beginning of September.

Starting September 1, 2023, the Disneyland Park has been decorated in full Fall flare. You will find decor celebrating the season along Main Street, U.S.A., and adorning City Hall, as well as Jack Skellington’s Halloween decorations on display at Haunted Mansion Holiday.

Halloween at the Disneyland Resort

Disneyland celebrates the season in many ways from September 1 through October 31, but one of the best ways is the Oogie Boogie Bash – A Halloween Party. Each night, Guests can enjoy Halloween Screams, the nighttime spectacular featuring iconic Disney villains and narrated by Jack Skellington, the “Master of Scare-omonies.”

At Disneyland, you’ll find the Main Street Pumpkin Festival, while Disney’s California Adventure Park features the transformation from Cars Land to Radiator Screams. Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! in Avengers Campus also transforms to Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark.

Additionally, from September 8 through November 1, the Downtown Disney District will join in the seasonal fun. Hunt for Disney character-themed pumpkins, hidden for Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit. With the purchase of a map, you can earn a commemorative keepsake after completing your search.

Megan Losey

As a Disney foodie, I love writing about Disney food and snacks. Some of my favorites are the Carrot Cake Cookie from Trolley Car Cafe, the Mickey Beignets from Port Orleans French Quarter, and the Apple Blossom from Port Orleans Riverside. When I'm visiting the parks, you can find me on Main Street taking in the good vibe of Magic Kingdom or relaxing with a drink at the Polynesian watching the fireworks from the beach. As a previous Cast Member, I will always have a special place in my heart for the Magic Kingdom, especially Main Street U.S.A.
