Several New ‘Jurassics’ in Development, Including Flight and Ferry Experience

The Jurassic Park franchise continues to expand beyond the big screen, with its next destination being “Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024”.

Described as “the most technologically advanced” flight simulator to date, the game allows players “to create flight plans anywhere on the planet and experience real-time atmospheric simulation.”

Now, in collaboration with Universal Products & Experiences, developer Orbx has created “Jurassic World: Archipelago”, an officially licensed add-on that takes players over Isla Nublar and the five islands of the fictional Cinco Muertes archipelago.

These include Isla Sorna, Matanceros, Muerta, Tacaño, and Pena. Players can also explore real-world Costa Rican locations, including Juan Santamaría Airport and Herradura Bay Marina.

Watch the official trailer below:

Set just before the events of Jurassic World (2015), the add-on experience shows Isla Nublar “humming with activity” while Isla Sorna (AKA Site B) remains untouched.

Players can complete aviation challenges, visit iconic locations, and see dinosaurs such as Stegosaurus, Velociraptor, and Tyrannosaurus Rex.

“Fly between islands, land at iconic locations, and take on aviation challenges like VIP Transport and Guided Tour,” the official description reads. “You can even head to the mainland, complete with a custom ferry port and upgraded international airport, including a Jurassic World inspired VIP terminal.”

This release joins a growing list of upcoming Jurassic games. Frontier Developments is working on “Jurassic World Evolution 3”, which will introduce even more park management tools, enhanced dinosaur behavior systems, and new prehistoric species.

Then there’s “Jurassic Park: Survival” from Saber Interactive, which will offer a story-driven, first-person action-adventure set immediately after the events of the original 1993 film, focusing on escape, survival, and terror.
