Say Goodbye (Temporarily) to Disney World’s Iconic Corn Dogs

There are few snacks more satisfying after a long day in the parks than something fried, cheesy, and downright ridiculous.

Disney World has its fair share of snack icons—Dole Whip, Mickey-shaped pretzels, churros—but one unsuspecting contender has slowly crept into fan-favorite status: Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs.

Tucked away on Disney’s BoardWalk, just outside EPCOT, this unassuming little kiosk has become a legend in its own right. And while it doesn’t boast the same legacy as Main Street’s popcorn carts or Adventureland’s pineapple treats, it’s built a cult following of hungry guests who crave that perfect crunch with every bite.

From classics to over-the-top mashups like the Crispy Cheddar Melt Dog and the Deep Fried Banana with Nutella drizzle, Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs has been redefining the phrase “theme park food.” It’s not just about nostalgia—it’s about bold, creative flavors you won’t find anywhere else at Walt Disney World.

So, here comes the not-so-great news: Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs is temporarily closing for refurbishment.

According to a recent Instagram post from @blueribboncorndogs, the BoardWalk location will be closed for two days starting Monday, July 21, 2025. The good news? It’ll be back up and running by Wednesday, July 23. That’s a very short closure, but for fans who were planning their BoardWalk stroll around a corn dog (no judgment here), it’s worth noting.

The post made it clear this is simply routine maintenance—no major menu changes, no full remodel, just a quick touch-up behind the scenes. That means you’ll still be able to snag your favorite creative dogs when it reopens next week.

And honestly, this might just be the perfect excuse to try something new around Crescent Lake for a day or two. Just make sure to come back once those fryers are fired up again—because no trip to Disney’s BoardWalk feels quite complete without that hot, cheesy crunch.

A frequent visitor of Walt Disney World Resort and Universal Orlando Resort, Andrew will likely be found freefalling on Twilight Zone Tower of Terror or enjoying Pirates of the Caribbean. Over at Universal, he'll be taking in the thrills of the Jurassic World Velocicoaster and Revenge of the Mummy
