As the criminal investigation into the death of actor Matthew Perry wraps up, one news outlet reports that detectives believe the late actor was intentionally killed to keep him from blowing the whistle on elitists in Hollywood who are allegedly engaged in unspeakable criminal activity in his upcoming “tell-all” book.
The Death of a Beloved Funny Guy
Actor Matthew Perry was found unresponsive in the hot tub next to his pool outside his Pacific Palisades home on October 28, 2023. Though paramedics were called to his home on Blue Sail Drive, they were unable to resuscitate the beloved actor. He was 54.
Perry was just 15 years old when he left Canada to go live with his father, actor John Bennett Perry, in Los Angeles. Almost immediately, the younger Perry took an interest in acting.
His first acting role was in an episode of 240-Robert, a police drama that starred his father, in 1979. In the 1980s, he went on to have minor roles in television shows, including Charles in Charge, Silver Spoons, The Tracey Ullman Show, and Growing Pains.
In the 1990s, Perry made guest appearances on Who’s the Boss and Beverly Hills, 90210.
But it was Perry’s role as the hilariously sarcastic Chandler Bing on NBC’s sitcom Friends alongside actresses Lisa Kudrow, Jennifer Aniston, and Courteney Cox and actors Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer for which he was most loved and will be best remembered. The Emmy Award-winning primetime sitcom ran for ten seasons from 1994 to 2004 and ultimately became a staple of American pop culture.
Over the years, Perry’s acting career earned him countless fans, and that fandom is likely the reason behind a growing interest in the circumstances surrounding his passing, especially after law enforcement authorities began a criminal probe into Perry’s death earlier this year that involved the Drug Enforcement Administration and the United States Postal Inspection Service.
Los Angeles Police officers who arrived on the scene at Perry’s home on the evening of his death in October 2023 reported that they had no reason to believe foul play was a factor in Perry’s death. They further stated that no drugs or drug paraphernalia were found in Perry’s home except for medications that had been prescribed by his personal physicians.
Something Doesn’t Seem Right, Leading To a Criminal Inquest
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner performed an autopsy, the final results from which were not released until mid-December, approximately six weeks after Perry’s death.
According to the coroner’s findings, Perry died from the acute effects of the drug ketamine. Other contributing factors included coronary artery disease and drowning.
Perry had been receiving ketamine infusion therapy for depression and anxiety, but the last infusion he received was more than a week before his death, and it was noted in the autopsy report that Perry’s serum ketamine levels were higher than what would be expected after more than a week with no infusion.
According to the DEA, ketamine is a dissociative anesthetic, meaning it makes patients feel detached from their surroundings and their pain. It can cause sedation and also has hallucinogenic properties.
A criminal investigation was begun to determine how Perry came into possession of the additional ketamine, but at least one outlet is reporting that something even more sinister was at work–and that Matthew Perry was killed because he was about to name members of the Hollywood elite as part of a group who are actually pedophiles.
New Report Claims That Investigators Believe Matthew Perry Died Because He Knew Too Much
As the current investigation draws to a close, there have been numerous theories shared about the circumstances surrounding Perry’s death, and speculation about what happened and who was involved has only increased.
On Friday, a report posted by The People’s Voice, which claims to be “fact-checked,” made perhaps the most shocking claims so far: that Perry was murdered–and that the killer(s) involved had a motive.
According to the now-archived post, detectives with the Los Angeles Police Department believe that Matthew Perry was “murdered” because the late actor had plans to name members of Hollywood’s elite who are allegedly pedophiles. The post reads, in part:
LAPD investigators say they believe Matthew Perry was murdered following revelations that the ‘Friends’ star was about to name and shame elite pedophiles in Hollywood.
According to police insiders, Perry was intentionally given an overdose of drugs by multiple Hollywood friends. The insiders say that the U.S. Attorney’s Office is reviewing the case to decide on whether or not to press charges.
The report claims that at the time of his death, Matthew Perry was finishing his second book–a sequel of sorts to his 2022 memoir, Friends, Lovers, and the Big, Terrible Thing, and that the late actor was planning to include the names of some of Hollywood’s elite as pedophiles in the book.
‘The People’s Voice’, Not the Voice of Truth
While police insiders have said that several individuals should face charges in Perry’s death, there has yet to be any news about investigators believing Perry was intentionally killed.
The criminal inquest into the late actor’s death was not undertaken to find Perry’s killer but rather to determine the source of the additional ketamine that was found in Perry’s system and played a role in his death.
The People’s Voice categorizes itself as “an American news publication committed to covering the headlines mainstream outlets shy away from” and claims its news posts are fact-checked.
On the official website of The People’s Voice, the outlet is described as having a dedication to “bring audiences the truth” and that if the outlet makes a mistake in its reporting, The People’s Voice is committed “to correcting [its] errors in a timely manner.”
But according to TechArp, the outlet changed its name in 2018, likely because the site had become known for posting fake news that–though shocking and attention-grabbing–was largely untrue. Since its inception in 2014, the outlet has been renamed twice, and in 2017, a report at BuzzFeed named the outlet the second-largest source of fake news on Facebook.
The post by The People’s Voice continues, stating:
According to police insiders, Perry was intentionally given an overdose of drugs by multiple Hollywood friends. The insiders say that the U.S. Attorney’s Office is reviewing the case to decide on whether or not to press charges.
However, no evidence of this has been shared as part of the investigation up to this point. In short, there’s no credible source to back up the news outlet’s claims on this matter.
