Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion, a classic theme park attraction, is set to reopen its doors to eager guests later this year. The iconic ride, known for its supernatural squatters like the famous Hatbox Ghost, will once again beckon visitors to embark on a spooky journey through its haunted halls.
Fans of the paranormal activity that lurks within the mansion will soon be able to enjoy this eerie experience again. Currently, the mansion has been closed for several months due to expensive renovations on the ride queue. Now, a date has been given to fans as to when the mansion will return to service.
Fans Rejoice Return of the Mansion
Yesterday, we learned that the Haunted Mansion would reopen later this year as its holiday rethemed version, the Haunted Mansion Holiday. In celebration of the holiday season, the Haunted Mansion annually transforms into this festive spectacle.
This holiday overlay merges the eerie charm of the classic Haunted Mansion attraction with the whimsical and spooky elements of Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. Visitors are greeted by a hauntingly beautiful sight as they enter the mansion, where they are immersed in a twisted holiday world of Jack Skellington and his Halloween Town friends.
The exterior of the mansion is adorned with spooky decorations, setting the stage for the holiday magic that awaits inside. As they venture deeper into the attraction, guests encounter familiar characters from the film, such as Sally, Oogie Boogie, and the mischievous trio of Lock, Shock, and Barrel.
Date Set for Haunted Mansion Holiday’s Return!
Yesterday, it was announced that the ride would return as a virtual queue-only attraction sometime this August. Now, according to the Disneyland Resort calendar, it looks like that opening date will be August 23, 2024.
This day marks the first of the Halloween season, making the timing perfect. However, some sources speculate that the attraction may begin service before this date.
