Pixar Invites Fans to a Limited-Time Studio Tour Experience

This July, Pixar Animation Studios is welcoming D23 Gold Members for an exceptional experience: an exclusive tour of its iconic Emeryville campus. Celebrating the 30th anniversary of Toy Story, Pixar’s groundbreaking first feature film, this event offers fans a unique look inside the creative heart of one of the world’s most beloved animation studios. From the revolutionary Toy Story to fan favorites like Monsters, Inc., Inside Out, and Coco, Pixar’s legacy is one of innovation and heartfelt storytelling. This event also hints at Pixar’s exciting future with the upcoming release of Elio.

Breakfast and a Behind-the-Scenes Look

The event kicks off with a tasty breakfast on Pixar’s scenic campus, giving guests time to settle in before the tour begins. Attendees will then explore the animation department, where Pixar’s talented artists and animators bring stories to life using cutting-edge technology. The tour also includes visits to the Pixar Archives, which houses an extensive collection of artifacts and memorabilia showcasing the studio’s remarkable history. Guests will have the chance to admire stunning art galleries filled with original concept art, character sketches, and other creative treasures.

Lunch, Shopping, and Special Gifts

Following the presentation, guests will enjoy a buffet lunch and then have the opportunity to shop at the Pixar Studio Store. This exclusive store, normally closed to the public, offers a wide variety of Pixar-themed merchandise that fans won’t find elsewhere. Each attendee will also receive a special D23 Member gift to commemorate this unforgettable day.

Honoring 30 Years of Toy Story

A key highlight of the day is a special presentation honoring the 30th anniversary of Toy Story. This film, released in 1995, was the first fully computer-animated feature film and revolutionized animation forever. It introduced audiences to Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and a world where toys come alive when humans aren’t looking. Led by a Pixar archivist, the presentation will provide fascinating insights into the making of this classic and the impact it has had on animation and pop culture worldwide.
