Every year, USA Today asks its readers to vote on a number of things when it comes to theme parks — best overall theme park, best theme park holiday event, best roller coaster, the best amusement park entertainment, and more. One specific voting category is Best New Theme Park Attraction and this category does not pertain strictly to rides, it can include new dining experiences, new shows, and new park areas.
Well, the votes are in, and USA Today has released their top 10 best new attractions. Universal Studios Orlando came out on top with its newest roller coaster — Jurassic Park: VelociCoaster — which has become a fan favorite in the 5 months that it has been open. While Universal may have secured the top spot, it was Disney that had the most winners on the list, with a total of 4.
Here are the new Disney attractions that USA Today readers just fell in love with.
Space 220 — #2 Best New Attraction
Space 220 is Disney World’s newest dining experience. Guests board a space elevator that takes them 220 miles into space before they enjoy an out-of-this-world meal with everything from delicious appetizers to scrumptious desserts.
Here is more information on Space 220:

Disney Enchantment — #5 Best New Attraction
Disney Enchantment was not met with the fanfare and love that some other Disney attractions have had. The new fireworks show was designed for the 50th Anniversary, which Guests were excited about, but at the same time, they were upset that it would be replacing Happily Every After — one of the most popular fireworks shows that the Magic Kingdom has seen.
Disney describes Disney Enchantment:
Be swept up in a world of wonder filled with friendship, love and fun as you watch this nighttime spectacular unfold. Inspiring everyone to believe in magic, Disney Enchantment will feature captivating Disney music, enhanced lighting, stunning fireworks and—for the first time—immersive projection effects that extend from Cinderella Castle down Main Street, U.S.A. at Magic Kingdom park.
Disney Enchantment is a brilliant centerpiece to The World’s Most Magical Celebration—celebrating the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort.
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure — #6 Best New Attraction
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure officially opened to Guests visiting EPCOT on October 1, 2021, the same day that Disney kicked off its 50th Anniversary celebration. The attraction shrinks riders down to the size of a rat as they race around a busy Parisian kitchen. The ride was a replica of one that is found at Disneyland Paris and it is so popular that joining a virtual queue is required to ride it.

In this 4D ride experience, join Chef Remy on a daring culinary caper that will captivate all your senses as you zip, dash and scurry through the bustling kitchen, dining room and walls of Gusteau’s famous Paris restaurant. C’est magnifique!
Avengers Campus — #9 Best New Attractions
Technically, Avengers Campus was scheduled to open in early 2020. However, the pandemic forced the theme parks to shut down, to the opening had to be delayed until the Parks were able to open and greet Guests. After waiting for more than a year, Marvel fans made their way to Southern California and the newest area opened to the public on June 4, 2021. There is currently one new attraction in Avengers Campus — WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure. Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! is also a part of the campus, but that ride was open before the area was done.
What makes the land truly immersive is all of the shows and character interaction that Guests can have. Guests can have meet and greets with well-known characters like Iron Man, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Thor, and Loki. They can also see Dr. Strange in the Ancient Sanctum as well as learn from the Dora Milaje — the brave warriors who defend Wakanda. And don’t forget to check the skies for Spider-Man! There is always something to see and do in Avengers Campus.
