Not Quite Done: Just Months After Reopening, Disney Location Announces It’s Closing Once More

A Truly Magical Dining Location

Narcoossee’s is one of the many dining options available at the Walt Disney World Resort. With its elegant decor and top-notch service, it is the epitome of fine dining within the Disney park. The restaurant is named after the tiny Florida town of Narcoossee, which was a bustling port in the late 19th century.

Narcoossee’s boasts a menu that celebrates the flavors of the sea, as well as diverse offerings for land lovers. Food lovers of all kinds will find something decadent and delicious to taste at this incredible restaurant. Narcoossee’s also offers an impressive wine selection to complement your meal. The restaurant’s sommelier can guide you through the extensive wine list, helping you find the perfect pairing for your chosen entrée.

While Narcoossee’s has always been delicious, the restaurant did just undergo a massive upgrade. Renovations ended earlier this year, revealing what Disney is describing as “enhanced interiors and many offerings.” Unfortunately, it seems that Disney doesn’t believe the work on Narcoossee’s is quite done.

Disney Releases New Closing Statement

It has been revealed that Narcoossee’s will once again undergo some thorough refurbishments. On September 17, 2023, the restaurant will once again close to visitors as this work is completed. Disney has revealed that they hope to reopen by mid-October. The statement reads;

“We recently introduced an enhanced interior and menu offerings at Narcoossee’s and will be making a few more equipment updates. Beginning September 17, 2023, Narcoossee’s will be unavailable. We expect to reopen by mid-October. During this time, we welcome Guests to consider other dining locations at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa—including the signature dining favorite, Cítricos.

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is currently undergoing refurbishment. Guests will be able to see and hear construction around the resort – including the lobby – during daytime hours. Most Resort hotel amenities will remain available. Please allow for extra travel time.”

This news will be very upsetting for the fans who traveled to Disney hoping to experience the flavors of Narcoossee’s this month. Nevertheless, we are confident that the renovations will be well worth the frustrating closures.
