Dark and Gritty ‘Ninja Turtles’ Installment Gets First Trailer

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have fought their way through New York’s sewers, battled alien warlords, and faced off against supervillains from across the multiverse—but now, they’re heading somewhere new: the high-stakes battlegrounds of “Call of Duty.”

In one of the most unexpected franchise crossovers to date, Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo are officially joining “Call of Duty: Warzone & Black Ops 6.”

Fans of both franchises have seen their fair share of wild collaborations, from The Shredder appearing in “Modern Warfare II” to “Call of Duty” welcoming pop culture icons like Godzilla, Rambo, and even Ghostface from Scream. But the idea of the Turtles, known for their ninja skills and signature weapons, stepping into a high-intensity military shooter is as radical as it gets. Of course, this isn’t the first time the TMNT crew has ventured into unexpected gaming territory. They’ve taken on superheroes in “Injustice 2,” brawled in “Brawlhalla,” and even brought their brand of ninja mayhem to “Smite.”

Most recently, they’ve dominated the beat-’em-up genre with “Shredder’s Revenge” and reintroduced themselves to a new generation through mobile games like “Splintered Fate.” But “Call of Duty” is a whole different beast, and it raises some serious questions—how will the Turtles fit into a world of tactical warfare, high-tech weaponry, and squad-based combat?

For now, details remain scarce, but speculation is running wild. Will players get to control each Turtle individually, or will they operate as a unit in special team-based modes? Could their melee weapons play a role, or will they adapt to the “Call of Duty” arsenal with military-grade upgrades? One thing is for sure—if The Shredder’s presence in “Modern Warfare II” was any indication, Activision knows how to integrate TMNT characters into its world in a way that feels true to their origins.

This latest crossover only adds to the momentum TMNT has been building in the gaming world. With “The Last Ronin” game still on the horizon and new collaborations popping up across multiple platforms, the Turtles’ return to pop culture dominance isn’t slowing down anytime soon. Whether fans are ready to jump into the fray as their favorite heroes in a half-shell or just excited to see how this unexpected crossover plays out, one thing is certain: Turtle Power is about to hit the battlefield in a big way.

There’s no release date for “Call of Duty: Warzone & Black Ops 6 x Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.”
