Next James Bond Actor Speaks Out on Being Cast as Iconic 007 Agent
The James Bond franchise is entering a new era — not only on the big screen, but in the world of gaming. As the search continues for a new 007 to follow Daniel Craig’s run, audiences are already getting to meet a different incarnation of the secret agent in “007 First Light”, IO Interactive’s upcoming third-person action-adventure video game.
Irish actor Patrick Gibson, known for The OA and Dexter: Original Sin, will play Bond in the game, which launches on March 27, 2026. Speaking recently with IO Interactive’s Global Brand Manager Laurine Deschamps, Gibson admitted that seeing himself as the iconic spy for the first time was “a pretty surreal experience.”
