New ‘Jurassic’ Experience Reveals How Fans Can Relive Iconic Moments From 1993 Film

Universal Products & Experiences and Saber Interactive are opening up Isla Nublar like never before in their upcoming title “Jurassic Park: Survival”.

A new behind-the-scenes video showcases how the first-person action-adventure game won’t just re-create iconic areas from the original 1993 movie, but also give fans access to parts of the island that were previously only hinted at.

Taking place one day after the film, the game promises a “fully realized Isla Nublar” according to its official website. That includes recognizable locations such as the Visitor Center and dinosaur enclosures, while expanding into unexplored spaces beyond Spielberg’s original frame. Watch the video below:

Executive Producer John Melchior explains the scale: “There’s lots of facilities, there’s lots of buildings, there’s lots of attractions that are under construction, there’s a hotel under construction. So fans are going to see things and landmarks that they only wish they saw; some elements from the film that were talked about but were never actually conceived in the film.”

Lisa St Amand, Jurassic World Project Executive, highlights the team’s collaboration with Amblin: “We worked really closely with our partners and with Amblin and our filmmakers to make sure that we’re capturing the island and all the dinosaurs in really great detail.”

That attention extends to dinosaur encounters, with Matthew Karch of Saber Interactive noting that “all the encounters are going to be amazing” and promising players will meet familiar species like Velociraptors, Dilophosaurus, and the T-Rex in a “meaningful way.”

At the center of the story is Dr. Maya Joshi, portrayed through motion capture by Payal Mistry. “She was personally recruited by Dr. Henry Wu to become an InGen scientist, to work at the park,” Mistry explains, noting how her character’s arc reflects both survival and discovery.

Shayne Mifsud, SVP of Franchise Management at Universal Pictures, frames the game as a long-awaited return. “For the first time we’re giving you this opportunity to travel back to Isla Nublar, to explore Jurassic Park.”

With its combination of iconic film moments and brand-new terrain, “Jurassic Park: Survival” positions itself as both a tribute to Spielberg’s classic and an expansion of its world—an Isla Nublar that finally feels whole.
