Cinderella Castle is an iconic that, for many, symbolizes magic, joy, and happiness. This iconic will now be visible at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom and as it heads to Roku City.
Roku City
Roku is a streaming system that allows viewers to stream their favorite shows easily via their televisions. Roku City is Roku’s dark cityscape landscape used as the screensaver. The dark cityscape has a purple and magenta theme that gives a relaxing loop. The screensaver has been named “Roku City” on social media.
Roku City is getting a magical enhancement. As part of Disney’s 100th anniversary celebration, Roku City will use Cinderella Castle. The new screensaver will feature Cinderella Castle in Roku City’s iconic purple color scheme. Also featured will be the Partners Statue.
Reason Behind the Change
Disney and Roku hope that the change coming during the holiday season will help viewers see Walt Disney World as a place families can enjoy together.
“What is more memorable and nostalgic than the Walt Disney World castle?” Peter Hamilton, senior director of ad innovation at Roku, tells The Hollywood Reporter, “It truly embodies the creative imagination behind Roku City, and in this way, it signifies a beautiful marriage of beloved places for our viewers. I know they will be inspired to see these worlds come together in an unmissable way. ”
100th Anniversary Celebration Continues
Guests have been able to celebrate The Walt Disney Company’s 100th anniversary in various ways at the parks. From specific anniversary merchandise to meet and greets, guests in Disney Parks worldwide have been celebrating 100 years of magic.
Lately, guests have enjoyed some of the celebrations from home. Not only has Roku City gotten on board, but we have also seen a special documentary on ABC to celebrate the company’s massive success throughout the year.
We love that the Disney celebration is expanding beyond the park and bringing us some extra magic at home this holiday season.
