Netflix Announces Massive ‘Wednesday’ Cast Shake-Up, 2 Stars Officially Cut
Netflix is giving fans even more reasons to look forward to Season 3 of Wednesday, but not all of the latest updates are positive. As anticipation grows for the next chapter of the hit supernatural series, new details have confirmed that a few familiar faces will not be returning alongside Jenna Ortega.
While the show’s core cast remains intact, several character departures signal that Wednesday is moving into a new phase. That means some storylines have officially reached their conclusion as Netflix prepares to expand the world of Nevermore once again.
Season 2 Set the Stage for Bigger Mysteries
Before looking ahead, it helps to remember where things left off.
Season 2 raised the stakes considerably, introducing new supernatural threats while digging deeper into both Wednesday’s world and her family’s history. Several storylines remained unresolved by the finale, leaving plenty of room for Season 3 to continue the mystery.
One of the biggest questions revolves around Enid Sinclair. Early details suggest Wednesday could spend much of the season searching for her friend while trying to restore her humanity. If that storyline becomes the central focus, it could create an entirely new set of dangers for Wednesday to confront.
Netflix has also teased more Addams Family drama, larger supernatural conflicts, and the gothic atmosphere that has become a defining part of the series.

One Character’s Story Appears Finished
Among the confirmed departures is Bruno Yuson, played by Noah B. Taylor.
Bruno became part of the growing ensemble during Season 2 and quickly found himself involved in one of the season’s more complicated relationships. His connection with Enid created plenty of tension and emotional drama throughout the story.
By the time the season ended, however, there were few signs that Bruno’s storyline would continue much further. Netflix has since confirmed that the character will not return for Season 3.
His departure removes one of the newer additions to the cast and allows the series to focus more attention on its established characters.
Another Missing Love Interest
Another familiar face missing from Season 3 is Xavier Thorpe, portrayed by Percy Hynes White.
Xavier played a major role during Season 1 as part of the show’s developing romantic tension involving Wednesday and Tyler Galpin. Many viewers expected that storyline to continue, but behind-the-scenes events ultimately changed those plans.
White faced anonymous allegations of sexual misconduct and harassment online, which he denied. Xavier did not return for Season 2, and the series explained his absence through dialogue.
Principal Barry Dort revealed that Xavier had transferred to the Reichenbach Academy in Switzerland, giving the character an off-screen exit. With that explanation in place, the original love triangle has effectively been closed for good.

Familiar Faces Return Alongside New Additions
Even with a few departures, Season 3 still boasts a strong cast.
Jenna Ortega returns as Wednesday Addams, while Emma Myers is back as Enid Sinclair. Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, and Isaac Ordonez will once again portray Morticia, Gomez, and Pugsley Addams.
Fans can also expect to see Fred Armisen as Uncle Fester, Hunter Doohan as Tyler Galpin, Joy Sunday as Bianca Barclay, Georgie Farmer as Ajax Petropolus, and Joanna Lumley as Grandmama Hester Frump.
The cast is also growing. Eva Green joins the series as Aunt Ophelia Frump, while Winona Ryder has signed on for a mysterious role named Tabitha.
Thing will also return, with Victor Dorobantu once again bringing the beloved character to life.

Paris May Play a Major Role
Season 3 appears ready to take viewers somewhere new.
One of the biggest developments involves a potential Paris setting, allowing the series to expand beyond familiar locations. The change could provide a fresh backdrop while preserving the dark and eerie tone fans expect.
Alongside the search for Enid, viewers can anticipate more supernatural mysteries, family conflicts, and the distinctive style closely associated with Tim Burton.
The Wait Continues
Although some fan-favorite characters are gone, Wednesday Season 3 still has plenty working in its favor. The returning cast remains strong, new additions bring fresh possibilities, and the next chapter appears ready to build on the momentum of the first two seasons.
For now, fans will need a little patience. Season 3 is currently expected to arrive sometime in 2027, but excitement for Wednesday’s next adventure continues to grow.
