Following the closure of MuppetVision 3D, two brand-new shows are set to light up Disney’s Hollywood Studios: Disney Villains Unfairly Ever After and The Little Mermaid: A Musical Adventure. While Disney has only teased a summer 2025 opening for these shows, the timing suggests they’ll debut right around the time the Muppets take their final bow. This way, guests won’t miss a beat as the park continues to dazzle with fresh entertainment.

Disney Villains Unfairly Ever After will bring some of our favorite bad guys and gals into the spotlight. Picture Cruella de Vil, Captain Hook, and Maleficent sharing their side of the story in a show filled with drama, magic, and mischief. Meanwhile, Ariel is making waves in her revamped musical, complete with stunning visuals and fan-favorite songs like Part of Your World and Under the Sea. These updates are all part of Disney’s plan to keep guests enchanted, especially with Universal’s Epic Universe opening its doors in May 2025.

But that’s not all—other attractions across Disney World are taking a temporary break too. Over at Magic Kingdom, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is closed for a major refurbishment, leaving thrill-seekers eagerly awaiting its return. EPCOT fans will also have to wait to buckle up for Test Track, as it’s currently undergoing a high-tech makeover.

Animal Kingdom isn’t left out of the shake-up either. It’s Tough to Be a Bug! is buzzing off soon, making way for an all-new Zootopia experience that’s sure to bring fresh excitement to the park. Plus, Dinoland U.S.A. has already closed its doors, with plans underway for new lands inspired by Encanto and Indiana Jones. Talk about an adventure!
