The week between Christmas and New Year’s is one of the busiest times of the year to visit Walt Disney World Resort. And this year was no exception. Many guests found themselves waiting in lines that were more than three hours — even up to five hours — long. Disney Genie+ reached an all-time high of nearly $40 per guest for the day, and it sold out, despite the cost.

Dealing with such high crowds can make things really difficult to navigate, so it is always important to pack your patience when visiting during such busy times. Unfortunately, one guest appears to have forgotten the importance of patience. That ended up leading to some Orange County Sheriff’s officers needing to step in.
TikToker Alex (@teachingwithmscasco) was visiting the Magic Kingdom this past holiday season, when she saw something that has become all too familiar at Disney Parks. According to Alex, a guest became irate and allegedly punched an innocent cast member. That caused the monorail to be delayed, since the police were called.

Alex then shared a video of officers from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office arriving on the scene. Since the police were not aware of how hostile the scene was, multiple officers arrived together, just to be safe.

One commenter, who claims that they were also at the monorail station, said that the attack on the cast member was completely unprovoked.
“apparently a guest shoved a cast member and they’re getting arrested. the cast member didn’t do anything wrong, the guest freaked out for no reason”.
We do not know if the person was arrested or if the cast member was okay. But if the accusations are true, the violent guest in question most likely received a trespass notice from Disney, banning them from any and all Disney parks.
Sadly, this is not the first time that a cast member has been attacked by a guest who thought violence was appropriate. Too many times, cast members have been on the receiving end of violence — and even sexual assault — by guests. Cast members work incredibly hard to make Disney guests happy, and they should always, ALWAYS, be treated with the respect they deserve.
