Marvel Teases Major Superhero Deaths in “Extinction-Level Event” Crossover
Marvel has always been home to epic team-ups, whether it’s in film, on Disney+, or in the world of comics. But the next crossover promises something completely different.
“Predator Kills the Marvel Universe,” a new limited comic series, is set to shake things up by bringing in the iconic alien hunter from the Predator franchise into the superhero-populated universe. The new series, revealed by IGN, will pit the Predator, also known as the Yautja, against some of our favorite superheroes and villains of all time.
“Predator Kills the Marvel Universe”
The story promises “brutal and bloody” deaths, as “Predator Kills the Marvel Universe” follows the pattern set by “Punisher Kills the Marvel Universe” and “Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe.”
However, canonically, the upcoming series will follow “Predator vs. Black Panther,” “Predator vs. Wolverine,” and the latest addition, “Predator vs. Spider-Man.”
Writer Benjamin Percy, who has been behind the “Predator vs.” saga since “Black Panther,” emphasizes the high stakes of the crossover. “This one’s gonna hurt,” he told IGN, teasing that it will be an “extinction-level event” for superheroes and villains alike.

While Marvel fans may be used to big crossovers and epic battles, “Predator Kills the Marvel Universe” offers something entirely unique. By pitting the formidable alien hunter against iconic heroes such as Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, and The Incredible Hulk, the stakes are higher than ever, and the violence will definitely hit hard.
Issue 1 drops on August 13.
For those also following the Predator franchise, it’s clear that Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century has given the series a resurgence, with Prey becoming a streaming success in 2022 and new films like Predator: Badlands and Predator: Killer of Killers now on the way.
