An exciting change is coming to Magic Kingdom’s Festival of Fantasy Parade beginning on January 1, 2023, when the Guest-favorite entertainment offering returns!
It seems the holiday season ended almost as quickly as it began, and at the Walt Disney World Resort, that means that normal schedules and routines, and offerings return, as limited-time, seasonal entertainment gets boxed up until next year. Disney World has just made some new adjustments to its website calendar to reflect an exciting change coming to the Magic Kingdom’s beloved daytime parade.
Disney’s Festival of Fantasy Parade first came to Magic Kingdom on March 9, 2014, as part of the celebration of New Fantasyland. It went away went the parks closed in 2020 because of the coronavirus pandemic, and Guests were thrilled when the daytime parade finally returned this year–on March 9, 2022.
Every holiday season, the Festival of Fantasy Parade hibernates while Guests are treated to Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade. When the holidays are over, the Festival of Fantasy Parade returns, but in 2023, it will return with a surprise!
Beginning on Sunday, January 1, Magic Kingdom will welcome back the Festival of Fantasy Parade–not just with one performance per day–but with two performances per day! So far, the calendar for the parade at Disney World’s official website gives showtimes through February 4, 2023, and each day, beginning on January 1, there are two performances–at 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
If you’re visiting the parks in January, be sure to make time to enjoy at least one of the performances of this unforgettable masterpiece of a parade. It’s one you don’t want to miss!
