As work on Cinderella Castle gets closer to wrapping up, Disney is bringing back a key part of the daily entertainment schedule. According to WDWMagic, Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire is returning to a morning performance beginning May 10, with an 11:10 a.m. showtime officially added back to the lineup.
That might sound like a small tweak, but it changes a lot more than you’d think.
For months, the show had been pushed into the afternoon and evening hours only. That meant guests who liked to start their day with entertainment—or families trying to fit everything in before an early afternoon break—had fewer options. It also created heavier crowds later in the day, since everyone was funneling into the same limited showtimes.
Bringing back that late-morning performance spreads things out again.
Now, instead of waiting until the afternoon, guests can catch the show after hitting a few rides in the morning. It fits naturally into a park strategy that actually works—rope drop a couple of attractions, slow things down with a show, then move into the rest of your day.
And honestly, that’s how Magic Kingdom is supposed to feel.
According to WDWMagic, the return of morning entertainment is also a strong indicator that castle work is nearly finished. Disney has been managing construction carefully—removing cranes during the day and working in stages—but it’s been enough to impact the park’s normal flow.
With that wrapping up, everything starts to open back up again.
You’ll likely see fewer visual distractions, cleaner sightlines for photos, and a more complete experience around the hub area. And just as important, other entertainment offerings that have been slightly scaled back could also return to normal soon.
