Years after portraying Kid Loki in Loki, Jack Veal, the young actor behind the character, has shared a heartbreaking revelation in a TikTok video: he is currently homeless.
Despite his role in one of Marvel’s most well-received series, which continues to hold a strong 87% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, Veal is facing personal struggles that have remained hidden from the public eye.
Lokiāset after the events of Avengers: Endgameābrought multiple variants of the God of Mischief into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and Vealās portrayal of Kid Loki quickly became a standout.
While the series focuses on the version of Loki played by Tom Hiddleston, the Multiverse plotline allowed for the introduction of several alternate Lokis, including Alligator Loki, Classic Loki, Sylvie, and Kid Loki. Portrayed by Veal, Kid Loki captured fans’ imaginations, particularly in his appearances during the showās first season.
However, behind the scenes, Vealās life has been far from easy. In an emotional TikTok video posted Sunday, the actor opened up about his current struggles with homelessness and the abuse he allegedly endured at home.
“Hi. Iām a famous actor, Iām 17 and Iām homeless,” Veal began, addressing his followers directly. “You may know me from Loki, The End of the F**ing World*, or other roles. I havenāt mentioned much about whatās been going on in my life, but I think itās time to reveal the truth.” He went on to share that his home life was marked by extensive abuse, including physical violence and emotional trauma.
Veal revealed that he has ānowhere else to goā and shared the dire circumstances of his living situation. “Iāve been sleeping in the streets,” he explained, describing how heās currently staying in a trailer with smashed-in windows, located two hours away from his job.
This unsafe and unstable environment makes it difficult for him to commute to work each day, adding to his already significant stress. The video also revealed that Veal is autistic and has ADHD and that he is currently undergoing screenings for bipolar disorder and psychosis. The video quickly garnered hundreds of thousands of views, drawing attention to the actorās plight and generating an outpouring of support.
In an update posted the following day, Veal shared that social services had reached out to offer assistance. “I donāt know what you guys have done, but itās really, really helped me,” he said, expressing gratitude for the response from his fans and the public. “Theyāre taking action now. Theyāre actually doing something. God bless you all. Thank you so much.”

Veal noted that social services were working to arrange a meeting to help him find accommodation or place him in foster care. He promised to share more details following his upcoming meeting with social services.
