A heavy downpour at EPCOT left standing water in the China Pavilion, and a video of kids splashing through it has Disney Parks fans split over whether it’s harmless childhood fun or something parents should shut down.
A Video From the China World Showcase Pavilion at EPCOT

After intense rainfall at EPCOT, TikTok user @j._.bo filmed several children playing in a few inches of water in the China World Showcase Pavilion. The video‘s caption read: “Nothing can stop these kids.”

“Guys, look at the new pool in the China Pavilion,” the Walt Disney World Resort guest said in the footage before turning the camera on the children. “If you’re not here all the time, that’s never full.”
The Comment Section Weighs In
Some viewers voiced disgust and concern about what might be lurking in the water.

“Floridian here….you know what’s in that water?? 🤮🤮,” @kelly_laird wrote.
“People are so free with their children like ‘I’ll deal with MRSA later…’,” @jusplayin32 added.
Others defended the kids and the parents who let them play.

“Has anyone in the comments ever played in a puddle or the rain as a child?” @chelseasop asked.
“You never played in a puddle or ditches filled with water? Who cares they are kids let them play,” @ineed2poo10 replied. “They will be fine.”
What Disney Does When Parks Flood

Flooding at Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park prompts cast members to move quickly, clearing storm drains and pushing water toward the drainage system built beneath the parks. Guests are urged to avoid areas with deep water and to ask a cast member for an alternate route to their next stop.
