‘Jurassic World Rebirth’ Follow-up Confirmed in New Report
Jurassic World Rebirth (2025) might have been a huge box office success, but it left many fans disappointed. So much, in fact, that many are hoping that the series will either end with the seventh film, or that the next one will abandon the Rebirth storyline. But while we wait for confirmation of an eighth film in the series, it seems Rebirth isn’t going anywhere.
Frontier Games has now confirmed plans for a Rebirth-themed DLC for the park management simulation video game sequel “Jurassic World Evolution 3”, which released last October. Details are scarce, but the expansion will undoubtedly bring the franchise’s first-ever mutant dinosaurs (the Distortus Rex, AKA the D-Rex, and the Mutadons) into the game. Players can also expect to see the film’s brand-new InGen island, Ile Saint-Hubert.

The DLC announcement surfaced on Reddit via the reliable user HeavyGold8, who shared a clip from Frontier’s live stream where the studio discussed the upcoming content.
“Jurassic World Evolution 3” takes place after 2022’s Dominion, tasking players with managing dinosaur habitats through the Dinosaur Integration Network (DIN). The addition of Rebirth content will expand those possibilities, giving fans new challenges and, presumably, with some monstrous creatures to care for. Watch the trailer for the game:

While fans speculate about what exactly will arrive with the Rebirth DLC, it’s already clear that playable characters from the recent films won’t be included as it’s not part of the “Evolution” format.
Voice appearances, on the other hand, aren’t unusual, although they’ve historically been limited, with actors like Jeff Goldblum reprising his role as Ian Malcolm in all three entries so far, while Bryce Dallas Howard returned as Claire Dearing in the first two entries and BD Wong reprised his role as Dr. Henry Wu in the original 2018 game.
Jurassic World Rebirth was a massive box office hit for Universal last summer, grossing $869 million globally, but it received negative reactions. Nevertheless, rumors of a sequel circulate, with director Gareth Edwards and stars Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, and Mahershala Ali reportedly in talks to return. For now, though, fans can channel their excitement into the game and get ready to unleash some mutant prehistoric predators.

Jurassic World Rebirth stars Scarlett Johansson (Avengers: Endgame), Jonathan Bailey (Bridgerton), Manuel Garcia-Rulfo (The Lincoln Lawyer), Rupert Friend (Obi-Wan Kenobi), Mahershala Ali (The Green Book), Luna Blaise (Manifest), David Iacono (Dead Boy Detectives), Audrina Miranda (Lopez vs Lopez), Philippine Velge (Station Eleven), Bechir Sylvain (BMF), and Ed Skrein (Deadpool).
