‘Jurassic World’ Sequel Finally Arrives, Kills Two Major Characters
As Jurassic World Rebirth draws closer, the animated series Jurassic World: Chaos Theory has become one of the franchise’s most significant links with the big-screen entries. Season 3, now streaming on Netflix, takes that connection to an entirely new level.
While Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous did a great job of weaving its storylines through the events of the first two films in the World trilogy, Chaos Theory has gone even further, now tying itself directly to the events of 2022’s Jurassic World Dominion.
From the return of key characters to re-creating thrilling sequences from the live-action movies, Season 3 closes the distance between the animated and cinematic worlds.
Among the most notable returns are Soyona Santos (Dichen Lachman), Barry Sembène (Evan Michael Lee), and Lewis Dodgson (Adam Harrington) — familiar faces from Dominion. Their reappearances enrich the plot, especially as the show revisits Malta and its infamous underground dinosaur black market.
But it doesn’t just reference the black market — it drops you right into the chaos, giving you a front-row seat to its collapse. It even includes audio nods to Owen Grady’s high-speed motorcycle chase, even if Chris Pratt himself doesn’t make an appearance.
The Atrociraptors — Ghost, Panthera, Tiger, and Red — also make their animated comeback, alongside their enigmatic handler. First introduced in Chaos Theory Season 1, The Handler’s dynamic with her raptors builds tension across the season. But with Soyona now wielding her own control via laser-guided technology, a showdown was inevitable.

Warning: There are spoilers ahead for Jurassic World: Chaos Theory Season 3
Season 3 culminates in Malta at a dusty extraction point, where The Handler and Soyona battle not just for survival but for control of the Atrociraptors. Despite The Handler briefly regaining command, Soyona’s trump card — a Carnotaurus — turns the tide in a brutal moment that sees both Ghost and The Handler fall.
What stands out is how Chaos Theory Season 3 isn’t afraid to mirror the action of the films while still telling its own story. Its willingness to bridge the worlds of animation and live-action makes it an essential chapter in the franchise’s evolving saga.
With Jurassic World Rebirth around the corner, Chaos Theory serves as more than just a side adventure — it’s become essential viewing for anyone looking to understand where the franchise is headed next. Watch the official trailer for Chaos Theory Season 3 below:
