As Jurassic World: Chaos Theory continues to expand the Jurassic franchise with its third season, the animated series also continues to maintain some pretty close ties with the film series, especially the latest sequel, Jurassic World Dominion (2022).
With Alan Grant (Sam Neill), Owen Grady (Chris Pratt), Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern), Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum), and Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) already established in the films, Chaos Theory, which follows the first animated series, Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous (2020–2022), focuses on the next generation of Jurassic characters: Darius Bowman (Paul-Mikél Williams), Ben Pincus (Sean Giambrone), Yasmina Fadoula (Kausar Mohammed), Brooklynn (previously Jenna Ortega, now Kiersten Kelly), Kenji Kon (previously Ryan Potter, now Darren Barnet) and Sammy Gutierrez (Raini Rodriguez).

However, despite the absence of the actors who lead the charge in the films, there’s potential for their characters to make an appearance in future seasons of Chaos Theory—though they will likely be voiced by different actors, especially as Camp Cretaceous and Chaos Theory have already recast characters from the films: Henry Wu, Lewis Dodgson, Barry Sembène, played in live action by BD Wong, Campbell Scott (Dominion), and Omar Sy, but voiced by Gren Chun, Adam Harrington, and Evan Michael Lee, respectively.
With that said, Dominion‘s Dichen Lachman reprises her role as Soyona Santos. So it’s not impossible for at least one of the Jurassic A-listers to make their animated debut.
Either way, as the Chaos Theory Season 3 finale suggests an even bigger crossover with Dominion in Season 4, it would be no surprise to see the likes of Alan Grant and Owen Grady finally make an appearance—albeit with new actors taking on the challenge.
With so many unanswered questions and untold stories in the Jurassic universe, recasting these iconic roles could be key to keeping the franchise alive outside the films, which is set to continue this summer with the release of Jurassic World Rebirth (2025). However, the seventh entry in the film series will not see the return of any original cast members.

What About Jurassic World Rebirth?
Jurassic World Rebirth releases in theaters on July 2. The film stars Scarlett Johansson (Avengers: Endgame), Jonathan Bailey (Bridgerton), Manuel Garcia-Rulfo (The Lincoln Lawyer), Rupert Friend (Obi-Wan Kenobi), Mahershala Ali (The Green Book), Luna Blaise (Manifest), David Iacono (Dead Boy Detectives), Audrina Miranda (Lopez vs Lopez), Philippine Velge (Station Eleven), Bechir Sylvain (BMF), and Ed Skrein (Deadpool).
