There are many things at Disney that are considered landmarks by fans. From the iconic Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom Park to the beloved trash can in EPCOT, Disney fans find the strangest and silliest things to grow attached to.

For many fans they attach themselves to things that bring back the nostalgia of their childhood Disney trips. There is nothing more iconic than the familiar look and feel of the Disney you grew up with. It is for this reason that many fans feel devastated to hear of the replacement of one iconic Disney Resort Hotel option, the Cabins at Fort Wilderness Resort.

To further pour salt in this wound, one cabin was recently seen being hauled away from the park.

Goodbye to the Original Cabins

While Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort remains the iconic landmark it has always been, the cabins are receiving a whole new look. To complete this transition, old cabins have been removed from the resort, as can be seen by this person’s photo.

It is eerie to see such a beloved Disney Park fixture be removed so suddenly, but evidently, that is just the reality of operating the Disney theme parks. In order to stay the incredible destination we know it to be, each theme park and Disney Resort must evolve with the times.
