As Disney is “The Most Magical Place on Earth,” when changes come, it does not happen overnight. Disney cannot build or plan events and much more without a permit. Disney World operates under strict regulations to ensure the safety and enjoyment of its guests. Any new construction or renovation within Disney World requires permits from local authorities. This includes the development of new attractions, hotels, or any other infrastructure.
Guests who are planning a special event within the park, such as a wedding, corporate event, or private party, they may need a special events permit. Disney has a team dedicated to coordinating and facilitating such events.
When it comes to food service, Disney World’s numerous restaurants and food establishments must abide to health and safety regulations. This involves obtaining permits to ensure that the food service operations comply with local health department standards.
All Disney restaurants must meet health department standards to ensure the safety and well-being of guests. This involves regular inspections and the issuance of permits based on compliance with hygiene and food safety standards. Walt Disney World restaurants serving alcoholic beverages need to obtain the necessary licenses. This involves local and state regulations governing the sale and service of alcohol.
Recently, Disney World has requested a permit for Be Our Guest Disney Restaurant located in Magic Kingdom. This popular restaurant brings in hundreds of guests due to its elegance as guests get to dine in Beast’s enchanted castle. While no closure is scheduled at this time, the permit is for MLC Theming, which is the company that does retheming and major changes to locations inside the Disney parks. The permit expires on December 31, 2024, meaning that the work will be done this year.
While it hasn’t been confirmed what this permit will mean for Be Our Guest, construction of some sort will be happening, and changes will be coming. Right now, we’re just unsure as to what extent they’ll be.
Be Our Guest offers three distinct dining rooms, each with its own theme: The Grand Ballroom, The West Wing, and The Castle Gallery. Disney guests dining at Be Our Guest get to experience a unique dining experience by providing a table-service menu for dinner, while lunch is served in a quick-service style. The cuisine is inspired by French flavors, fitting the film’s setting in provincial France. Guests can enjoy dishes such as Escargot de Bourgogne, French Onion Soup, and the famous “Grey Stuff” dessert.
