“We find it delightfully unlivable here in this ghostly retreat. Every room has wall-to-wall creeps, and hot and cold running chills.”
Without a doubt, one of Disney’s most iconic and popular attractions is the Haunted Mansion. The Haunted Mansion can be found in Liberty Square at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom Park and in New Orleans Square at Disneyland Park. Then, if you head to Tokyo Disneyland, the Haunted Mansion is actually located in Fantasyland!

The original Haunted Mansion attraction is the one located in New Orleans Square at Disneyland. Guests enter a classic Southern estate and board “doom buggies”, which take them through the entire mansion. There are 999 happy haunts who live within the mansion, but as the Ghost Host says, “there’s always room for a thousand.”
Well, Haunted Mansion fans, do we have some exciting news for you. You now have the chance to live INSIDE Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion!
Okay, so it isn’t the Haunted Mansion located inside Disneyland, but it is really close. A house was just listed for sale in a suburb of Atlanta and, according to the seller, it is an exact replica of the quintessential Disney ride.
According to Barron’s, the home is 28 years old and is more than 9,000 square feet. Although, sadly, there are no doom buggies, no floating candelabras, and no portrait ghosts having a duel in the dining room. So, if those are must-haves for you, then you’ll have to skip this posting and keep searching for your dream home.
Spanning almost 9,500 square feet, the house has an open-plan hub, with living and dining spaces alongside a chef’s kitchen. There’s also a sunroom that looks out over the backyard and adjoining wooded conservation land, a grilling deck, and elaborate cast iron details forged in a foundry specifically for Disney, according to the listing.
There are six bedrooms in the home, including a primary suite with a morning kitchen, a luxurious bathroom and two walk-in closets with custom built-ins.
The basement, meanwhile, is primed for entertaining with a full bar, a pool room, a poker table, and media space; and there’s a full, unfinished apartment over the three-car garage.
Along with the backyard, there’s a roof deck with a sitting area, dining space and a hot tub.

Now, you might be wondering who could build a home that looks just like a Disneyland ride. Well, a former Disney contractor, of course! Not only that, the Disney contractor has Disney in his blood, as his father also worked as an animator for the House of Mouse. This is also why there is some original Haunted Mansion artwork that comes with the house!
This house is perfect if you are looking to live in the Atlanta area and absolutely love all things Haunted Mansion. The house is currently listed for $2.2 million.
