For decades, Guests at the Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort have flocked to the Haunted Mansion attraction. It’s a fan-favorite dark ride that takes Guests deep into the seemingly abandoned mansion, where “hinges creak in doorless chambers, and strange and frightening sounds echo through the halls.”
Only moments after entering, Guests are well aware: “There’s no turning back now.”
But for Guests who do make it out of the Haunted Mansion alive, the idea of decorating their homes for Halloween with a Haunted Mansion theme is appealing, as the attraction is so popular among Guests, and many want to bring the spooky magic home with them. (It’s not that difficult; after all, the Ghost Host warns Guests that “a ghost will follow you home!”
The most iconic characters in the attraction include Constance Hatchaway, the murderous bride in the attic of the Haunted Mansion who has done away with every one of her husbands so far, the HatBox Ghost, the three Hitchhiking Ghosts, and of course, Madame Leota. And doesn’t everyone want those creepy characters at their home for Halloween?
If you do, here are a few things out there this year–if you can find them in stock!
Madame Leota’s Tombstone

This creepy tombstone is listed at Lowes.com, but because of its popularity, it’s often out of stock. Her eyes light up and glow as she speaks, and her mouth moves as well. She repeats her incantations made famous by the Haunted Mansion attraction.
According to Lowe’s, the Madame Leota Animated Tombstone is new for 2022.
Walmart also carries Madame Leota’s tombstone, but it’s routinely out of stock there too. (People really love their Haunted Mansion!) Leota’s tombstone stands 22 inches tall and is 12 inches wide.
The following is part of the description of the tombstone, which retails at Walmart for around $50:
Foam tombstone with dimensional bust of Madame Leota
Faux patina and speckling
Screen art on the front features border, florals, and ”Dear Sweet Leota, Beloved By All, In Regions Beyond Now, But Having A Ball”
Screen art text on the back reads ”The Haunted Mansion”
It comes with two plastic stakes that fit in small holes on the base of the tombstone
Madame Leota Crystal Ball
Walmart also carries the Madame Leota Crystal Ball, but it’s only available for shipping.
