Overnight, Disney World Limits Access To ‘Frozen’ Attraction To Paying Guests
A long-standing Frozen (2013) attraction at Walt Disney World Resort has been shifted to prioritize high-paying guests. Effective September 25, Disney Visa Cardholders now enjoy premium access to the character experience at Disney’s Hollywood Studios during certain hours.
With the closure of Animation Courtyard on September 25, Walt Disney World Resort has introduced a new system for Meet Olaf at Celebrity Spotlight attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. According to photos from X (formerly Twitter) user @laughing_place, Disney Visa Cardholders now receive exclusive priority access to the experience between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. daily. Standby access to the Frozen meet-and-greet is still available, but those with Disney Visa cards will have the advantage of bypassing the regular line, similar to Lightning Lane access.
With the closure of Star Wars Launch Bay, Olaf at Celebrity Spotlight is now the park’s Disney-Visa meet & greet. Between 9am-12pm, cardholders get priority access – but anyone can get in line. #WaltDisneyWorld

Animation Courtyard closed on Thursday to make way for its reimagining into the Walt Disney Studios Lot, a new area at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The new land will include an updated Disney Junior show and the transformation of Star Wars Launch Bay into the Roy E. Disney Animation Building (complete with the iconic Sorcerer Mickey hat). This building will house the refreshed return of a retired attraction, “The Magic of Disney Animation.”
The Chewbacca and Darth Vader meet-and-greets from Star Wars Launch Bay have been relocated to other parts of Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Guests can find Chewie near Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, while the Sith Lord is steps from the Olaf meet-and-greet in the rarely-used extended queue for Star Tours – The Adventures Continue.
The Walt Disney Studios Lot will premiere at Disney’s Hollywood Studios sometime in 2026.
