Kevin Feige Teases Fantastic Four’s Role in Avengers: Doomsday
Marvel Studios’ Fantastic Four has just soared into theaters for its opening weekend, bringing with it a fresh take on one of the most iconic teams in comic book history.
With audiences buzzing over the film’s style, chemistry, and cosmic stakes, fans are already wondering where the Fantastic Four go from here.
Well, we didn’t have to wait long for some answers.
Kevin Feige Confirms Fantastic Four in Avengers: Doomsday
In a new interview with Marvel.com, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige sat down to discuss the future of the team and how they’ll play into the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday. The film, currently in production, promises to be a massive crossover event involving the Avengers, X-Men, and now—confirmed—the Fantastic Four.
MARVEL.COM: This film directly leads into Avengers: Doomsday, which you’re filming now. What can you tell us about how the Fantastic Four will fit in with the Avengers and the X-Men?
KEVIN FEIGE: That’s always fun. The fun of an Avengers movie is introducing people to each other and seeing how very different personalities get along. In the case of a movie that involves the threat of worlds literally colliding, it’s fun to see them visit each other’s homes. So with the Baxter Building set, let’s say it had four or five people in it at most in the Fantastic Four movie. And it’s got a heck of a lot more people in it [in Doomsday]. It’s a thrill to see that interaction. And it’s surreal for me, who’s been around for 25 years.

Thunderbolts Post-Credits Scene Set the Stage
And if that wasn’t enough of a clue, let’s not forget the post-credits scene from Thunderbolts (spoiler alert): the Thunderbolts spot a strange spacecraft entering Earth’s atmosphere—a spacecraft unmistakably modeled after the Fantastic Four’s iconic design. That scene alone heavily implied that the team would be appearing in the next crossover film, and Avengers: Doomsday seems like the most obvious place for that convergence to happen.
The Multiverse Is Getting Crowded—and Exciting
With Fantastic Four introducing a new corner of the MCU and Doomsday promising to explore multiversal chaos and world-ending stakes, the integration of Marvel’s First Family is not just exciting—it’s essential.
One thing is certain: with the Baxter Building getting a lot more crowded, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is about to feel bigger—and weirder—than ever before.
