Exciting New Developments Revealed for ‘Jurassic Park’ Sequel After Latest Trailer

Jurassic Park fans are buzzing with excitement, but the hype isn’t just about the upcoming Jurassic World Rebirth or even the hit animated series Jurassic World: Chaos Theory currently streaming on Netflix. The real showstopper will be “Jurassic Park: Survival,” an upcoming first-person survival adventure game that’s set to shake things up in a big way.

This highly anticipated game takes place just 24 hours after the original 1993 Jurassic Park, and it sounds every bit as thrilling as you’d expect. The premise? Players step into the shoes of Dr. Maya Joshi, an InGen scientist left stranded on Isla Nublar after failing to evacuate.

But don’t expect a leisurely dinosaur safari; survival is the name of the game, and with dangerous dinos lurking around every corner, you’ll need every bit of your wits, cunning, and resourcefulness to make it out alive.

Unlike previous Jurassic Park games that focused more on action and chaos, “Jurassic Park: Survival” promises to deliver a much more intense and immersive experience. Think “Alien: Isolation” but with dinosaurs. Yep, that’s right—creeping through the jungle, avoiding detection, and using the environment to survive sounds both exhilarating and terrifying.

According to developers Universal and Saber Interactive, the game will feature plenty of familiar dinosaurs, along with some lesser-known species that fans haven’t seen before. But it’s not just about surviving these prehistoric predators — players will also get to explore iconic locations from the original Jurassic Park, including some that have never been revealed in the movies.

When’s “Jurassic Park: Survival” Out?

While the game isn’t slated for release this year, the website FilmAffinity suggests a 2025 launch across major platforms like PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. So, while there’s still some waiting, the good news is that the game is shaping up to be something special.

So, “Jurassic Park: Survival” won’t be roaring onto consoles this year as initially expected, but it might drop in 2025 to coincide with Jurassic World Rebirth.

Here’s the synopsis for the game, per the official website:

Return to Isla Nublar the day after the events of the beloved 1993 Jurassic Park film in an original adventure 65 million years in the making.

Survive thrilling first-person action as InGen scientist Dr. Maya Joshi, who was unable to evacuate Isla Nublar, in this single-player action-adventure game and discover a never-before-told story.
